Timo Tjahjanto Wants To Make a Sequel to His Other Netflix Action Hit Too
Working on The Big 4 continues to ignite my passion; it’s not just a job, it feels like a family in the making. It’s incredibly beneficial for my mental wellbeing to engage in something that maintains an air of whimsy and optimism. This is the only film I’ve created where isolation gives way to warmth and camaraderie.
Under the guidance of director Timo Tjahjanto, the film titled “The Shadow Strays” is headed by Aurora Ribero portraying the assassin called 13. The ensemble includes Hana Malasan as Umbra, a seasoned assassin who serves as 13’s mentor, Ali Fikry as Monji, a youthful character tasking 13 with his vengeance mission, Adipati Dolken as the antagonist Prasetyo, and Andri Mashadi playing the role of Ariel, a ruthless crime boss. Code Name Thirteen, a 17-year-old assassin with a history of deadly assignments, is currently suspended after a botched mission in Japan. He shared that he’s structured the story as a two-part series and is eager to revisit the violent landscape of the young assassin and the enigmatic organization known as the Shadow. He expressed curiosity about the Shadows, their motivations, and the history of the clandestine group, hinting at these aspects in the ending of the first film.
