Actor Abhay Mahajan prepares for the launch of his new web series titled “Oops! Ab Kya?”. This series is an Indian adaptation of the well-known American show “Jane the Virgin“. Directed by Prem Mistry and Debatma Manda, it will debut on February 20, 2025, only on JioHotstar.
In simpler terms, Abhay Mahajan shared insights into his character for the show. His portrayal will feature a police officer with a sensitive side, which is often referred to as a “cop with romantic tendencies”.
In conversation about “Oops! Ab Kya?”, Abhay elaborated on his thoughts with OTTplay, saying, “I informed people that we were remaking this series, and they were quite enthusiastic. Yet, they also harbored some doubts about how much improved the remake could be.
Abhay is really excited to be involved with the show because he thinks it’s complex and multi-layered, just like a popular Indian street food dish called pav bhaji. He explained that it has all the spices (masala) and everything you need in one place. Furthermore, he mentioned that his role is distinct from the traditional cop roles often portrayed in other series.
He pointed out that he found the character’s emotional complexity, typically lacking in traditional cop roles, quite appealing. The new series will star Aashim Gulati, Shweta Basu Prasad, Sonali Kulkarni, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Apara Mehta, along with Abhay, who will play significant roles.
In this rephrased version, the sentence structure remains simple and easy to understand while maintaining the original meaning. The key roles of the other actors are also highlighted for better emphasis.
The Oops! Ab Kya? trailer gives us a glimpse into Roohi’s emotional and funny voyage, revealing her attempts to harmonize traditional beliefs with contemporary living amidst unexpected hurdles. The series seamlessly combines amusing scenes with weightier topics like self-realization, family dynamics, and life’s unforeseen turns.
Whoops! It’s been announced that “Oops! What’s This?” will make its debut on February 20, 2025, exclusively on JioHotstar. Instead of waiting each week for a new episode, viewers can enjoy the whole season at once, making it easy to binge-watch the entire series in one sitting.
