It appears that Harrison Ford is having a great time being part of Disney’s family. With his upcoming role in the 2025 film “Captain America: Brave New World,” he’s solidifying his status as a genre icon within the franchises that Disney is currently developing. Naturally, Jimmy Kimmel couldn’t resist asking Ford if he had ever tried any of the theme park rides based on “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones.” And true to form, Mr. Ford responded with his signature wit and humor.
In a recent visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 82-year-old actor, renowned for his globetrotting, fedora-clad character, served up a witty remark that left me chuckling. During our conversation, he playfully threw out this sharp-witted quip:
Indeed, I’ve never come across them. I was actually searching for the Jimmy Kimmel Live attraction, but it turns out, there isn’t one available!
In essence, if Harrison Ford, the main character from the Indiana Jones films (available on Disney+), had wished to notice a minor oversight brought up by Mr. Kimmel during their chat, he could have done so. Although there are attractions that honor both Dr. Jones and Han Solo, Orlando’s amusement park currently lacks an Indy ride. However, this is set to change within the next few years due to upcoming developments at Walt Disney World.
With the closure of Dino Land USA at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, its original section is on the verge of disappearing. In an ironic turn of events, the future development of an Indiana Jones land will transform that area into the new East Coast base for the renowned archaeologist. However, it seems that the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular will continue to be a part of Disney’s Hollywood Studios even after this project is completed.
In essence, this is an ideal method for transitioning to a humorous reference about Harrison Ford, which would have been fitting during the Disney MGM Studios period. Take a look at the video below to witness Ford’s memorable reply to Jimmy Kimmel:
*In the original text, “That is, frankly” can be replaced with “In essence”, and the second sentence can be rephrased as “Take a look at the video below where you can see Ford’s memorable response to Jimmy Kimmel.

It’s rather unexpected that there isn’t a “Jimmy Kimmel Live” experience at Hollywood Studios, especially considering the Echo Lake area, where the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is held, could have been an ideal location for it. However, since the Hyperion Theatre is currently housing “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration,” it seems unlikely that a Jimmy Kimmel attraction will be moving in any time soon.
As a movie reviewer, I find myself pondering about Harrison Ford’s skills as a co-pilot in the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run attraction. With his aviation passion, one can’t help but wonder if he prefers horizontal or vertical controls when behind the wheel. Perhaps, being an action movie legend, he might relish the experience of flying. Or maybe, his engineering prowess takes precedence, making him more of a passenger than a pilot in this thrilling ride.
Despite the fact that I’m aware I might face some classic Ford wit if I asked, and I wouldn’t be truthful if I claimed otherwise, my curiosity remains unquenched. For now, it seems like an exciting idea to imagine what this long-whispered Indiana Jones land will become when constructed. Disney Parks attractions often undergo changes, so there’s still a chance we could construct a replica of that stunning motorcycle chase from The Last Crusade.
