Actress from Yellowstone spin-off and It Ends with Us, who has expressed interest, continues her campaign for the iconic role of Batman in James Gunn’s DCU, referring to it as a longstanding dream. Known as a strong contender for the character Bruce Wayne in the upcoming reboot The Brave and the Bold, she exudes confidence in her aptitude to portray The Dark Knight, stating that she is well-suited for the part.
I’ve noticed numerous suggestions for who should play Batman in ‘The Brave & The Bold’, and that really sparks my interest as I’m quite fond of the character. It would be a fantastic opportunity, no doubt about it. However, we’ll have to wait and see what unfolds; I believe I’d be well-suited for the role.
It would have to be the right thing at the right time.”
As a fervent fan, I’m eagerly anticipating “The Brave and the Bold,” set to be helmed by none other than Andy Muschietti, director of “It” and “The Flash.” This upcoming production promises an innovative take on the DC icon, alongside Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of The Batman. Intriguingly, Damian Wayne’s Robin is also set to make an appearance, adding a fresh dynamic to the DCU movie. If I’m lucky, I might just be the one stepping into the cape and cowl as Robin, although it may take some time before we get to witness this rebooted Batman in live-action on the big screen.
Brandon Sklenar Responds to Rumors About a Role in the MCU
On multiple occasions, Brandon Sklenar has expressed interest in portraying Batman within the DC Universe. Known for his roles as Spencer Dutton in the series ‘1923’ and other productions like ‘Yellowstone’, ‘Emily the Criminal’, ‘Midway’, and ‘It Ends with Us’, Sklenar recently commented on a piece of fan art depicting him alongside David Corenswet’s Superman, simply stating, “I approve.” As of now, the identity of Batman in the DCU remains unknown. However, actors such as Alan Ritchson from ‘Reacher’, Jensen Ackles from ‘Supernatural’, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen from ‘The Invisible Man’ have shown interest or are popular choices among fans to play Bruce Wayne, alongside Sklenar.
Brandon Skelnar is also associated with the character Richard Rider, better known as Nova, in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). It’s hoped that he will headline his own series soon. The series, which has experienced several setbacks, has made significant progress and tapped Ed Bernero for both writing duties and overseeing production. When asked about the speculation regarding his involvement in the Marvel show, Sklenar commented…
Absolutely, I’ve just learned that as well. I believe there was a planned meeting involving Marvel Studios or Marvel Television, specifically with Kevin Feige. If it materializes, it could be quite exciting!
To MCU enthusiasts, the term ‘Nova’ is well-known, as the Nova Corps featured prominently in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ films. The upcoming Disney+ series, titled ‘Nova‘, is predicted to focus on Richard Rider, a human who gains the power and rank of Nova Prime, which grants him extraordinary strength, speed, flight, and other abilities.
