Acting star Akshay Kumar has ventured into the realm of music for the first time with his debut single titled “Mahakal Chalo.” This song is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and it was released prior to Maha Shivratri on February 18. In this track, Akshay lends his voice together with musicians Palash Sen and Vikram Montrose.
After the release, Palash Sen expressed his admiration for Akshay Kumar on social media. In a heartfelt message, he referred to it as a “letter of appreciation” and titled the post: “A letter of praise for Akshay Kumar… who is nothing like the ‘Hera Pheri’ character in real life, but the most welcoming actor I have ever encountered.
Palash Sen’s special post for Akshay Kumar
He often composes posts to shed light on concerns he finds troubling, but this time, he chose to write about something that brought a smile to his face. He spoke of Akshay Kumar, a fellow Delhi native who climbed the ladder of success in the film industry through his raw talent and determination. Reflecting on himself, he declared, “I’m just like him, striving to make it big in the music business.
Palash further highlighted their shared roots, pointing out that although Akshay achieved stardom, they both originated from simple and comparable backgrounds. He affectionately referred to Akshay as a “Delhi lad from the middle class”.
In the post, Palash discussed his challenges within the Bollywood industry, where he’s frequently felt underestimated. However, he was taken aback by Akshay’s support and backing during their musical project. He mentioned that such assistance from the Bollywood world hadn’t been forthcoming in years. Palash commended Akshay for his professionalism, humility, and respect, which left a strong impact on him.
Additionally, Palash admired Akshay’s quick wit and comedic prowess, remarking that it’s not often one encounters someone with such impeccable comedic timing. He also mentioned that a person capable of bringing joy and laughter to others might be graced by the blessings of the divine.
Moved by Palash’s thoughtful remarks, Akshay Kumar expressed his appreciation by writing on the post: “That’s how it goes – music, dedication, and effort. Thank you so much for your warm sentiments, Palash. May Mahadev have brought us together, and may Mahakal Chalo become a journey for everyone who listens.
