  • ‘The White Lotus’s Season 3 Guests

In a grand unveiling on February 16, 2025, luxury Thai resort The White Lotus welcomed a fresh set of indulgent vacationers for Season 3. Politeness initially dominated the scene, but soon gave way to subtle jabs and suspicious intentions that hinted at possible criminal acts. However, it appears one character has taken the lead as the most reprehensible – at least, for a week’s time.

One allure of The White Lotus lies in observing the embarrassing downfall of self-absorbed, extravagantly wealthy elites. Even while they’re basking in paradise, they never seem to find contentment or peace. With each season starting with a puzzling murder, it makes for an entertaining game of detective work, trying to guess who will meet their end and unmask the culprit. Although there are still many mysteries left unsolved in Season 3, one character from The White Lotus already seems more suspicious than the rest.

‘The White Lotus’s Season 3 Guests

In the second season, massage therapist Belinda Lindsey, played by Natasha Rothwell, returns as one of the recurring characters, with Greg Hunt (Jon Gries) being the first to make an appearance in Season 3. Accompanied by her son Zion (Nicholas Duvernay), Belinda encounters a variety of new guests, primarily Americans, on the well-known TV series created by Mike White.

Among the latest arrivals are Rick Hatchett, who’s rather grumpy (portrayed by Walton Goggins), his cheerful partner Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood), a group of friends reconnecting for a getaway consisting of Jaclyn Lemon, a TV actress (Michelle Monaghan), Laurie, a career-focused professional (Carie Coon), and the socialite Kate (Leslie Bibb).

In addition to this, we have the Ratliff family of five residing in North Carolina. Among them is Tim (played by Jason Isaacs), a successful businessman, his eccentric spouse Victoria (Parker Posey), and their offspring: Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) with her Buddhist aspirations, Lochlan (Sam Nivola), a considerate high school graduate, and the eldest, Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger), who, unfortunately, exhibits behavior that outshines his siblings in terms of mischief.

Saxon Ratliff Is the Most Evil Character in ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 So Far

Before delving into Saxon’s unpleasant demeanor, it would be wise to examine the reasons and personalities of the other guests. Rick, on the other hand, comes off as rude, uninterested, and seemingly disdainful towards the luxury getaway. In stark contrast, Chelsea appears enchanted and genuinely appreciative of being in such a beautiful location. The trio of friends are delighted to see each other, but there seems to be a rift among them that leaves Laurie feeling lonely and detached. Tensions stemming from Jaclyn’s fame will likely rise eventually, although for the moment they maintain an amicable facade.

Despite the Ratliff family appearing quite unusual, they have a unique dynamic that seems somewhat complex. Victoria defends their normality by saying, “You’ll find we’re just like any other family,” after Saxon makes an odd gesture. Saxon admires and collaborates with his father who is suspected of being involved in illicit business activities abroad.

In Episode 1, the wealthy and arrogant Saxon manipulates his younger brother Lochlan and belittles their sister Piper’s beliefs. He tries to impress Chelsea by showing off narcissistically at the poolside. When that fails, he flirts with several older women, including Chelsea’s friends, in an attempt to make Lochlan pursue them. He advises Lochlan, saying, “You need to play the odds, Loch.” Lochlan is left shocked and appalled by his brother’s behavior.

Interestingly enough, when the Ratliffs discover that there are only three bedrooms for five individuals, Saxon firmly suggests that Lochlan continue sleeping in his own room. Piper finds it acceptable for Lochlan to share her space, but Saxon refuses and makes a rather unusual joke about work colleague Pam (Morgana O’Reilly) that leaves her speechless. In their common room, Saxon starts belittling Piper and watches explicit content in front of Lochlan, inquiring about his preferences for adult entertainment. To make things even more uncomfortable, Saxon carries his tablet to the bathroom to indulge in private moments, intentionally leaving the door ajar while nude, allowing Lochlan a brief, startling glimpse. Once again, Lochlan gazes on in utter astonishment.

The White Lotus Cast Member What We Know From Episode 1
Sritala Hollinger Though she only made brief appearances in the first episode of the season, Sritala, one of the owners of the White Lotus resort, is someone we should keep an eye on moving forward.
Piper Ratliff Piper is the reason the Ratliff family is in Thailand, and so far, she may be the most “normal” of the bunch. Of course, that could change as we continue through the season.
Lochlan Ratliff Lochlan seems to be very unlike his brother, Saxon, and that’s a good thing. Torn between Duke and UNC, his primary obstacle so far is deciding which college he will attend.
Jaclyn Lemon A celebrity back at home, Jaclyn is already receiving plenty of attention at the White Lotus resort. However, she doesn’t seem like the type to murder, but perhaps her character will change as the season continues.
Victoria Ratliff There’s no reason to suspect Victoria at this point, but something certainly seems off with her character.
Laurie Maybe evil isn’t the right word, but judging by the power dynamics we’ve seen in Episode 1, Laurie may have reason to murder one of her friends in Thailand.
Timothy Ratliff Though he appears to be the strong patriarch of the family, Timothy may be in trouble overseas after receiving a strange phone call during dinner regarding a Wall Street Journal exposé.
Rick Hatchett Arriving with Chelsea, Rick shows no interest in the resort, and clearly has ulterior motives for being there, as he is quite interested in meeting Sritala’s husband.
Saxon Ratliff The stereotypical rich kid in the worst way, Saxon is overly confident, and the dynamic between him and his siblings will undoubtedly continue to be explored.

As the story unfolds in Season 3 of The White Lotus, it seems that Saxon stands out as the most problematic character. He’s not just rude, but also manipulative, deceitful, and intent on causing tension between Lochlan and Piper. Don’t forget to catch up with this intriguing series on Max.
