It appears that GTA 6 is gearing up for something bigger, with whispers hinting at DJ Khaled potentially running his very own in-game radio station.
As reported by TheGhostOfHope, a reliable source for Call of Duty leaks, it is anticipated that Khaled’s station within the game will include his personal tracks along with songs from other artists. Although Rockstar has not yet verified these claims, the buzz surrounding this development has left players speculating about potential changes to the game’s musical lineup.
In the world of Grand Theft Auto (GTA), well-known disc jockeys aren’t a recent addition. For instance, GTA V featured personalities such as Frank Ocean, Kenny Loggins, and DJ Pooh, while Rockstar Games incorporated Dr. Dre for GTA Online.
As someone eagerly anticipating GTA 6’s return to Vice City, which bears a resemblance to my hometown Miami, it seems only fitting that DJ Khaled could be part of the game. After all, he started his career as a radio DJ in Miami before skyrocketing to fame as a hype man. So, if I were to tune in to the in-game radio stations, hearing his voice wouldn’t feel unusual at all.
Despite the recent leak, it seems that GTA 6’s entertainment strategy is far more expansive than what we currently know. This week, there have been whispers suggesting that Rockstar might be exploring the transformation of the game’s online world into a platform for user-generated content (UGC), similar to Fortnite and Roblox. As a fan, I can hardly contain my excitement at the prospect of contributing to this virtual universe!
The game is said to feature not just Khaled, but also other well-known musicians from reality. It’s been hinted that rapper ScHoolboy Q and entertainer T-Pain have already collaborated on the project, and there are ongoing talks about Rockstar bringing in more prominent figures from the music industry.
Though Rockstar hasn’t shared any details yet, there’s plenty of buzz surrounding DJ Khaled‘s potential role, leaving fans anxiously awaiting an official announcement.
Instead of grumbling about his famous catchphrases on the radio, Grand Theft Auto 6 is making a big splash by focusing heavily on its musical aspects.
