The hit political drama TV series “Maharani” has captivated audiences since its debut on a well-known streaming platform in 2021, and now, after three successful seasons, the creators have begun work on a fourth installment of this popular show. The team recently made an official announcement about the upcoming season by releasing sneak peeks from the initial shoot, which they call the ‘muhurat’. Have a look!
On February 18, 2025, creators of the political drama series Maharani shared that production for its fourth season has officially started. The announcement was accompanied by a picture of the clapboard displaying ‘muhurat’, signifying the beginning of filming. Notably, Subhash Kapoor remains as the creator, with Puneet Prakash stepping in as director this time around. Anurag Solanki handles cinematography duties, and Naren Kumar and Dimple Kharbanda are credited as producers for Season 4.
In their announcement post, they wrote, “Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to make it happen! We’re excited to announce that we’re starting Season 4 after three amazing seasons. #MaharaniS4 production kicks off!

The images displayed feature the creative crew beaming with joy as they strike poses around the clapboard. Each member is not only captured in these shots, but also found deeply immersed in the process of crafting the eagerly anticipated masterwork that viewers have long been anticipating. In addition to this, a few sneak peeks from the artist’s look tests prior to the commencement of Maharani Season 4 were shared by the team a couple of months back.
The photo album displays actress Huma Qureshi in an all-black outfit, striking a casual pose. Afterward, the dedicated crew of photographers and editors fine-tuned the visuals to ensure they appeared great on the screen. The team then posted these images, stating, “Preparing for another season filled with power, politics, and drama. #MaharaniS4 look tests are commencing!

In Maharani’s first season, Karan Sharma took the helm as director. The reins were then handed over to Ravindra Gautam for Season 2, and in Season 3, Saurabh Bhave stepped up to the task. Throughout the TV series, Huma plays the lead character, Rani Bharti. Alongside her, you’ll find Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Kani Kusruti, Inaamulhaq, and several other talented actors.
