The Help“, derived from Kathryn Stockett’s novel of the same title, unfolds in 1960s Jackson, Mississippi amidst the civil rights struggle. The narrative revolves around African American housekeepers who have devoted their lives to serving white households, depicting the struggles they face on a daily basis. In a memorable incident, Minny, a character from Spencer’s household, prepares her renowned pie for her ex-employer (Bryce Dallas Howard) but secretly incorporates her own waste as retribution for dismissing her.

In addition to Viola Davis, Emma Stone, and Jessica Chastain, the movie featured Spencer in a significant role. Interestingly, Spencer was awarded an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress due to her exceptional portrayal of Minny.

Spencer’s recent post pertains to the ongoing actions by Elon Musk and his self-proclaimed federal agency DOGE, which has been actively eliminating various U.S. government departments as part of President Donald Trump’s ambitious plan to significantly reduce spending and minimize jobs and specific programs. Over a dozen states have initiated legal challenges against DOGE, claiming that Musk’s power is unconstitutional.
