After wrapping up Season 2, the most jaw-dropping moment in the finale came when Christina Ricci’s character, Misty, unintentionally killed her “longtime friend” during a hunt reminiscent of their past. Here’s what Ricci shared about Lewis’ final day on set as we follow the adult Yellowjackets grappling with the aftermath of Nat’s demise.

That day was incredibly distressing for everyone, as it was when we had to portray those emotional scenes. Returning this season without Juliette was equally heartbreaking for all of us. Juliette is an exceptional, radiant person, and our bond is deeply genuine. We’ve been through numerous trials together, shared love, disagreements, reconciliations – a true friendship that grew into sisterhood. It was incredibly sad not to have her by our side again.

Instead of me tearing up, it seems like you are, given how deeply moving that scene from the series turned out to be, particularly for Misty whose affection for Nat shone through so brightly. Juliette Lewis truly brought the character to life with her powerful performance, and we’ll surely feel her absence.

Sophie Thatcher Reflects On Finally Sharing A Scene With Juliette Lewis

During our conversation, Sophie Thatcher expressed similar feelings of disappointment at not having another character on the show anymore. When I inquired about her long-awaited on-screen collaboration with the actor for her death scene, which featured an otherworldly moment where they were seated together on a plane, Thatcher responded as follows:

Wow, rewatching that scene sent shivers down my spine! It’s amazing to witness Juliette being so resilient during such a vulnerable moment, and her performance was truly captivating. I hadn’t worked closely with her before, so it was particularly inspiring for me to watch her on screen. Her intensity was palpable, making that scene a beautiful, memorable experience for me. And carrying that emotion into this season has been quite special.

Sophie Thatcher appeared equally emotional as everyone else bidding farewell to the character. Fortunately, we’ll continue to track young Nat’s journey. It’s worth mentioning that Nat was unexpectedly selected as Antler Queen in the previous season when the Queen card chose her. Initially, the other Yellowjackets aimed to track her down, but upon her survival and Javi’s death, she assumed leadership.

It’s particularly disheartening from a fan’s viewpoint to watch Nat’s journey because she contemplated suicide earlier, but in the last season appeared to change her mind. Moreover, there were unresolved questions about Travis’ death that she never found answers for, and we share this frustration since there are many mysteries left unanswered on our end as well. As the storylines get more intertwined in this and future seasons, I can’t help but ponder if Lewis will make an appearance at some point.
