Approximately two years have passed since Season 2 of “Yellowjackets” was released, and now, much to the anticipation of fans, Season 3 has arrived. The acclaimed survival thriller series initially debuted in November 2021, focusing on the tumultuous aftermath for a high school girls’ soccer team stranded in the Canadian wilderness following a plane crash. Although the airplane accident plotline is not an original concept in television, the unique split timeline between their harrowing past and the struggles they face 25 years later has resonated with viewers and critics alike, making it a standout success.
With Season 3 now underway, the struggle for survival becomes increasingly intense as our characters edge closer to the brink of madness. Here’s a rundown of what we currently know regarding the release date, viewing options, and upcoming developments for the Yellowjackets in Season 3.

Starting from Fridays at midnight ET, each fresh installment will premiere on Paramount+ with Showtime. Then, every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, the same episode will be rebroadcasted on Showtime.

What to Expect from ‘Yellowjackets’ Season 3
The end of Season 2 of Yellowjackets presented two jaw-dropping incidents in its past and future storylines. The younger girls, stranded in the wilderness, must confront their cabin catching fire during winter, while the grown-up Natalie makes a selfless sacrifice. Ever since then, viewers have been on the edge of their seats, eager to learn what becomes of these teens and their adult counterparts following such dramatic twists.
In the opening episodes of Season 3, there’s a noticeable leap forward in time for the teenage characters. Instead of the usual school setting, the showrunners have set them in a summer environment. This new scenario includes a temporary village with wooden houses, a common area, and even a small farm with rabbits and ducks. The sunny start gives off an illusion of normalcy that both the audience and characters are anticipating to crumble. Who are these individuals truly? What monstrous acts might they be capable of? And what sinister secrets will come to light under the bright summer sun?
