Here, I’ll avoid revealing spoilers for Season 3 of “The Traitors” beyond the first episode. If you haven’t finished watching yet, you can catch up by subscribing to Peacock.
For enthusiasts of reality TV who have been tuned into “The Traitors” on the 2025 television lineup, they’ve been served top-notch entertainment during this season filled with juicy drama. Unfortunately, one cast member missing out on all that excitement is Wells Adams, as he was the first eliminated in Season 3. Despite the potential feelings of disappointment and embarrassment, the wife of the “Bachelor in Paradise” bartender, Sarah Hyland, sees it differently – she finds it “excellent.
Actress Sarah Hyland, formerly known from “Modern Family,” recently visited the talk show “The View.” The hosts were curious about Wells Adams’ experience on a popular streaming show and couldn’t resist inquiring. Although Adams’ time at Alan Cumming’s Scottish castle was brief, Sarah Hyland viewed his early departure as a positive event. She shared her thoughts, saying (as reported by Deadline):
As a movie buff, I can’t help but feel that it was for the best that he was ousted early on, given the minimal connection they shared. The Traitors seemed to be targeting anyone, not necessarily based on their character or relationship.
She’s got a valid observation here. Even though the Season 3 cast found Wells Adams acting strange before expelling him from the castle, that first group vote was more like a guessing game. There hasn’t been enough time for the Faithfuls to demonstrate their loyalty or the Traitors to make mistakes, and history shows that often in the early banishments, innocent Faithfuls get blamed.
It’s not hard to see why Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland may have wished for a situation where he could play a larger role in the game, but as the host of Love Island USA, she is beaming with pride about him.
1. He’s truly a fantastic individual. You’d never find me describing him as ‘disappointing’ or mentioning his name with such a word in the same breath. I was upset when they removed him early, but he’s a brilliant, hilarious person.
2. He’s an outstanding guy. I wouldn’t dare utter the words ‘disappointed’ and his name together, not ever. I felt let down when they didn’t keep him around longer, but he’s an extraordinary, witty soul.
3. He’s a superb fellow. To pair ‘disappointed’ with his name is unthinkable to me. I was disheartened when they ended his participation prematurely, but he’s a remarkable, comical character.
Recently, Bachelor Nation members have faced some challenges on other reality TV shows. While Arie Luyendyk Jr., Peter Weber, and Gabby Windey enjoyed success during their stints on The Traitors, Wells Adams broke the trend by being the first celebrity contestant to be eliminated. This is similar to Trista Sutter and Ali Fedotowsky’s early departures from Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test following their time on The Bachelor franchise, which had previously been quite successful.
Instead of the humor that Wells Adams might have added to The Traitors’ third season, we’ve witnessed Sam Asghari, Britney Spears’ ex-husband, subtly excelling at laying traps for Traitors. Additionally, we’ve seen an unexpected bromance between Dylan Efron, Zac Efron’s brother, and Survivor star Boston Rob, which we didn’t know we needed.
Fans of the former “Bachelorette” contestant can take heart, similar to Sarah Hyland, not to be too disheartened about Wells Adams’ recent TV stint ending prematurely. Chances are, he’ll be back at the bar when “Bachelor in Paradise” returns for its 10th season later this year. For now, just sit back and enjoy the messy Season of “The Traitors,” with new episodes premiering on Peacock every Thursday.
