As a devoted fan, I’m eagerly awaiting the plunge of Bollywood into the realm of the supernatural with Thama – an exhilarating vampire narrative starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, this highly anticipated venture in Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock horror universe is generating quite a stir. To further fuel the anticipation, Ayushmann recently unveiled an enchanting behind-the-scenes snapshot from a night shoot, leaving fans spellbound by its captivating ambiance.
Ayushmann Khurrana shared a behind-the-scenes peek at the nighttime shooting of Thama on his Instagram Stories. The picture showcases a set that resembles a village, complete with a humble hut nestled among trees and brightened by multiple lights, giving off a magical ambiance perfect for filming.
Titling the image with “#Thama” and “#NightShift”, he fueled excitement for the movie’s premiere, making fans even more anxious to witness this chilling supernatural tale unfold.
In October of last year, the next installment in Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock horror universe, titled Thama, was formally revealed. The announcement read, “Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Comedy Universe required a love story… unfortunately, it’s a bloody one.” So, get ready for #Thama this Diwali 2025!
Under the direction of Aditya Sarpotdar, who gained fame with Munjya, this upcoming film boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara, and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, Thama promises a unique supernatural adventure that will leave a lasting impression. The film, filled with horror, humor, and a complex love story, is scheduled for a grand release during Diwali 2025.

In the professional sphere, it’s been announced that director Sooraj Barjatya has chosen Ayushmann Khurrana as the next Prem for his forthcoming project. This unnamed film is depicted as a classic love story that revolves around familial relationships.
