In my adventure through the breathtaking Emerald Stair region of Avowed, I stumbled upon the Naku Tedek grounds and encountered Luminous Alfons, a distressed priest. He confided in me about a bandit raid that stole a valuable artifact from his grounds. After hearing him out, I received information on the general location of the bandit hideout. With a sense of duty, I vowed to retrieve the stolen relic and bring it back to Alfons, embarking upon the quest known as A Relic from the Ashes in Avowed.

How to Find Alfons and Start A Relic from the Ashes Quest in Avowed

In the southwest corner of Fior Mes Iverno, specifically within Naku Tedek Grounds, you’ll encounter Alfons. He can be found inside the main structure where he’s hunched over and searching for something. Engage him in a conversation to initiate the A Relic from the Ashes quest, and you’ll receive the location of the reliquary as a result.

Here’s how you’ll complete the mission.

Locating the Reliquary of Saint Waidwen

Make your way to the Delemgan Glade by quickly teleporting to Rock Arch Beacon, which is situated near Tama’s Cabin. Once there, continue on your path towards the market until you reach a stone arch. A few Elder Brown Bears and Sporelings will be protecting this stone arch, so make sure to defeat them before proceeding further.

After dealing with your adversaries, advance until you reach a pit where Xaurips, Sporelings, and Delemgans are guarding. It would be wise to jump into the pit, defeat every enemy, and then make your way into the cave to secure the reliquary. Be prepared for a challenging battle as there will be many opponents, all of whom are high-level.

Instead, consider employing the “Stealth-Beyond Skill” to bypass all the adversaries undetected, grab the artifact, and then exit the pit peacefully, avoiding any conflicts.

After dealing with your adversaries, make your way towards a cave situated near a chasm. Inside, you’ll encounter a Xaurip guarding a deceased individual. Defeat this enemy and secure the Saint Waidwen’s relic, a valuable artifact. Additionally, you’ll discover a thief’s journal close to the body, suggesting their intention to pilfer the artifact. Return to Alfons carrying the quest item, and share the details of the bandit’s theft to finish the “A Relic from the Ashes” mission in Avowed.
