Hear Me Out: Bode Should Be With Audrey (Not Gabriela) Long Term On Fire Country, And I Need To Talk About Why

If you don’t want any spoilers for Fire Country Season 3, Episode 12, it’s best to stop reading now! To watch it online, you’ll need a Paramount+ subscription. And don’t forget, new episodes air every Friday at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. Enjoy your viewing experience!

First off, let’s discuss my unconventional viewpoint without causing an uproar. You see, Bode and Gabriela’s history and chemistry certainly make them intriguing together. Nevertheless, I believe it’s high time for them to part ways, and that seems to be happening as Max Thieriot’s character is now exploring his feelings towards Audrey.

Frankly, I find this development quite fascinating and can’t wait to see more of it. Following the events in Episode 12 of Season 3, which aired on the 2025 TV schedule, I’m convinced that Bode and Audrey would make an ideal couple instead of Bode and Gabriela.

Bode And Audrey’s Similar Pasts And Shared Experiences Make Them A Great Match

From the moment Leven Rambin stepped onto the set of Fire Country as the former convict Audrey, it was clear to me that she’d make an excellent pairing with Bode.

Bode and Audrey share a unique connection as they’ve both completed the inmate firefighter program and underwent firefighter training together. Their common background has not only brought them close but also allows them to empathize deeply with each other.

In the latter part of Season 3, the bond between them appears to have grown even stronger, and I’m eager for further exploration of their relationship. It seems that Audrey is in a stable phase of her personal life, and she’s significantly contributing to Bode’s growth during this fresh stage in his journey. However, it’s not only about nurturing her possible partner, but also aiding his entire family as well…

Episode 12 Showed Audrey Is A Natural Fit With The Leone Family

In the aftermath of Bode and Audrey’s heartfelt kiss in Episode 11, it was Vince, Sharon, Walter, and not Bode, who I found myself spending more time with in Episode 12. However, let me make it clear that Gabriela too shares a unique bond with Bode’s family. Yet, the selfless actions Audrey took for them in this episode left an indelible impression on me.

It’s evident that Audrey formed a bond with Walter which allowed for a unique interaction with Bode’s grandfather that was beyond the reach of the rest of the family. She shared their emotional struggles following Walter’s diagnosis, empathizing not only with him but also with her love interest’s parents. In a remarkable turn of events, Audrey managed to bring them closer together in a way others couldn’t, culminating in a cherished family photo that they all shared.

In this episode, it was clear that she’s not only beneficial for Bode, but also for his entire family. Consequently, I’m eager to see her stay for a longer period.

Gabriela And Bode Are Too Explosive Together, And They Both Deserve Peace

After a thrilling chapter in their relationship during the early part of Season 3, it seems that Bode and Gabriela should explore new paths. I believe they’d benefit more from being friends. Their dynamic is intense, undeniably with its advantages, but unfortunately, it appears that the drawbacks overshadow the benefits in this case.

They’re both embarking on personal journeys of self-exploration and development, yet they appear to halt each other’s progress. I wish things were different, but I fear they aren’t. In Season 1, Gabriela’s romantic involvement with Bode while he was at Three Rock Rock introduced numerous complications into her new life in Edgewater. Conversely, during Season 3, following the poor ending of her wedding and her father’s departure for Three Rock, Gabriela shut herself off, preventing a potentially lasting relationship with Bode from blossoming.

I’d like for both Bode and Gabriela to flourish and find tranquility, but I believe they can’t coexist harmoniously in the same relationship. Therefore, let’s encourage Bode to pursue his journey with Audrey, provide Gabriela with a fresh romantic connection, and cross our fingers that Bode, Gabriela, and Audrey will cultivate a deep friendship along the way.

It’s exciting to learn that Fire Country has been renewed for Season 4! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Audrey continues to be part of the series. The chemistry between her and Bode is undeniable, and I hope they will sustain their relationship in the long run. They truly deserve each other, and it would be wonderful for both them and the audience.
