‘He was a difficult man to live with,’ says Rajesh Khanna’s alleged girlfriend Anita Advani: ‘Could be rude…’

As a devoted admirer, I can share that my connection with the legendary Rajesh Khanna was deeply personal and multifaceted, extending beyond the gossips and rumors that surrounded his life in Bollywood. Post his separation from Dimple Kapadia, Anita Advani, who was often speculated to be his girlfriend, became a significant presence in my life. In her recent disclosures, she delved into the intricacies of our relationship, providing insights into our shared moments and the trials we faced as I grappled with the complexities of being involved with one of Hindi cinema’s most revered figures. She also candidly discussed the challenges that came with living alongside such a notable star.

In a heartfelt conversation with Avanti Films on YouTube, Anita disclosed that while they never tied the knot, their bond was sincere and authentic. She reminisced about a significant instance in their relationship, where Rajesh Khanna presented her with a kada (bracelet) amidst Balaji. She elaborated that this event transpired after he had been apart from his wife, Dimple Kapadia, for 28 years and was living alone. “He acknowledged me,” Anita stated.

Living with Rajesh wasn’t always smooth sailing, as Anita put it. She considered him generally composed, yet admitted that he could prove challenging at times. In his inebriated state, Rajesh would occasionally display rude behavior. As for their physical altercations, she confessed to striking back instinctively when he hit her, but over time learned to manage him better.

Discussing Khanna’s volatile temperament and unpredictable mood changes, Anita disclosed that a wide range of things could set him off. She mentioned that he frequently became enraged without any apparent cause, and even when he was in the wrong, he would demand her silence. Yet, she noted that when he was under the influence of sobriety, he was an exceptional companion to be around.

Anita’s allegations regarding Khanna’s challenging personality weren’t fresh revelations. Following his death in 2012, she appeared on Bigg Boss 7 in 2013 and discussed the same problems. She asserted that they had been living together for about eight years prior to his demise.

Regardless of the difficulties, Anita emphasized that their connection held a unique value, which she still treasures and holds dear from their shared moments.
