For those who haven’t seen the first nine episodes of “Love Is Blind” yet, they can now stream them on Netflix without any spoilers ruining the experience. Enjoy the unspoiled journey!
After watching the ninth set of episodes from “Love Is Blind,” I’ve found myself deeply engrossed once more in the intriguing social experiment that forms the heart of this reality dating show. In a recent conversation with hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey, we discussed my reunion proposal and how their hosting roles have evolved over time. Interestingly, during our chat, their views on Season 8 particularly caught my attention. Nick described this latest season as “wholesome,” and I must say that, despite the ongoing drama with new episodes set to air in 2025, I wholeheartedly agree with his assessment.

Love Is Blind Nick Lachey’s Called Season 8 ‘Wholesome’, And I Have To Agree
During my conversation with the Lacheys, I expressed to the married couple that certain pairs from this season had moved me so much that I was genuinely tearing up. Additionally, the podcast episodes have left me hopeful, but a bit apprehensive, that more of the pairings will yield positive results. Here’s what Lachey responded:
This year, I believe the feel of the season is unique compared to others. It seems to embody the spirit of the city, and in Minneapolis, Minnesota, that spirit is distinctly different – perhaps sweeter, more heartfelt than some other cities. However, each season has its own character, and this one is a bit more wholesome. Yet, it does have a way of tugging at the heartstrings, as I also found myself getting emotional while experiencing it.
Some audience members might find it unexpected that the series is taking such a turn, but considering the chaotic events of Season 7, it could logically unfold. Although I must admit that this season has been rightfully criticized for its lack of diversity, many of the depicted couples are more endearing compared to those I’ve grown accustomed to in recent episodes. However, there’s one ongoing drama on the show that’s becoming quite tiresome!

Yes, I Can’t Handle Much More Of Dave And Lauren’s Drama
A show like Love Is Blind is bound to have disagreements and emotional turmoil due to its unique format that pushes couples from dating to marriage within a short span of time. Although some seasons have been more focused on drama than love, I’m glad to see that this trend has not continued in recent episodes. The latest installments of the dating series have seen an increase in dramatic tension, particularly between Lauren and Dave, which has become the most exasperating aspect of the current season for me.
It’s really unfair of Dave to doubt Lauren’s relationship with him just because she had a previous partner before they met. Lauren should never be made to feel inferior due to her past relationships. Frankly, I’m quite annoyed by Dave’s behavior towards her in this situation, and I sincerely hope that Lauren recognizes he isn’t the right person for her!

I’m Sorry, But Monica, Joey And The Sock Bin Thing Is Too Cute
Besides the negativity from Dave and Lauren, I wholeheartedly concur that so far, this season has been incredibly charming. There are four other pairs who show great promise, and it seems they have a higher likelihood of staying together than couples from previous seasons have.
My preferred pairing is undeniably Monica and Joey, who are simply adorable as a couple. Although there was a hiccup when Monica’s sister raised doubts about Joey, I believe they both dealt with it gracefully. The sock bin debate between them and the “fam jam” that playfully embarrassed Monica from her family were my absolute favorites!

I Was Also Crying With Daniel And Taylor At Their Family Visit
I must say, I find myself aligning most closely with Nick Lachey’s perspective when it comes to the progression of Daniel and Taylor’s relationship. The tears welled up as I watched both sets of parents come together in support of the couple, a moment that left me deeply moved. Frankly, it’s been a while since a season of this show has captivated me quite like this one, and I can certainly understand where Lachey is coming from with his insightful comments.
