As a devoted fan, I must say that “School Spirits” primarily delves into somber territories, with its focus on death and the emotional scars left behind when spirits re-enter their former selves this season. The show’s creators have hinted that the Season 2 finale will surpass our darkest expectations. Yet, amidst the gravity, there are moments of warmth, silliness, and pure fun – such as the infectious dance number from this week that has both the internet and me utterly captivated!

As a die-hard movie buff, I’m excitedly counting down the days until 2025 when the sixth episode of “School Spirits” graces our screens. On that day, my heart raced at the prospect of Wally’s high school reunion (the Class of ’84) taking place in the gym. The air was thick with anticipation as I watched them set up, and the rhythmic beats of “Let’s Dance” by David Bowie filled the room. Without a moment’s hesitation, Wally dragged Charley, Rhonda, and Quinn onto the dance floor for a tradition-bound boogie. The joy on their faces was infectious, and the footage below is proof positive that they had an amazing time!

I had a great time watching it alongside the internet, as the joy seemed to leap off the screen in that moment. Milo Manheim, who’s known for his dance moves from shows like “Zombies” and “Dancing with the Stars,” appeared to be enjoying himself immensely, and it looked like his co-stars – Sarah Yarkin (Rhonda), Nick Pugliese (Charley) and Ci Hang Ma (Quinn) – were equally thrilled to be dancing along with him.

The joy was contagious as numerous people engaged with X to express their admiration for the atmosphere and the performance. Sharing a video of ghosts dancing in the gym and library, many expressed their affection for “School Spirits” and dance sequences through messages such as @bunnyskulls666’s:

“Can’t stop laughing at these ghosts boogying down! #SchoolSpirits #DanceOff

Attending Wally’s seasonal dances has become mandatory; the ghost gang’s dance routine was the best part of the show, I have to say, and Quinn, in her ghostly state, is incredibly cute. #schoolspirits

Indeed, I find myself constantly mulling over that particular scene, especially concerning the mysteries of School Spirits. Yet, that captivating dance sequence seems to linger persistently in my mind. It appears that many fans may share this predicament, as they’ve expressed similar sentiments online.

  • no like yall don’t understand, that’s my family #schoolspirits –@theycalllmeivyy
  • ok but 1- i love how each actor is dancing in a way so specifically aimed at who their character is 2- great example of how #SchoolSpirits uses unique blocking/angles that keep it feeling fresh. just a random 4th wall break and Wally talking from behind the camera? so fun! –@kat__writes
  • THE DANCE SCENE WAS EVERYTHING I DIDNT KNOW I NEEDED. school spirits the show you are!!!! #schoolspirits –@carpentersflash
  • This scene deserves to go viral the way the umbrella academy dance scenes did #SchoolSpirits –@kazskruge

  • i hope whoever thought of this dance sequence in school spirits gets everything they want in life –@jmncisms

It’s fair to assume that including dance sequences would be beneficial for the show “School Spirits,” and I’m optimistic that this practice could become an annual tradition in Season 2. Notably, this isn’t the first time the Paramount+ series has incorporated musical elements. In fact, during Season 1, Episode 6, Wally performed a large dance at the school dance, as demonstrated in the video below:

It’s hard not to break into a wide grin when Milo Manheim takes to the dance floor, and I’ve been overjoyed that this delightful moment has occurred numerous times on this outstanding Paramount+ series.

I’m crossing my fingers that we get another round of this show in Season 3, given how much everyone seems to enjoy these scenes just like Wally enjoys dancing.
