The announcement of this series has sparked much discussion on social media about which original cast members might return, and now creator Aaron Korsh hinting at the possibility of Meghan Markle reprising her role in the legal drama adds an extra layer of intrigue to the anticipation.

The show “Suits LA” centers around Ted Black, a former New York prosecutor seeking to transform and thrive in Los Angeles’ competitive legal world. Simultaneously, he encounters lawyers who blur the boundaries between their personal and professional lives. This series maintains the intensity of high-stakes courtroom drama and intriguing plotlines similar to the original, with occasional appearances by the original cast members. In an interview with People during the premiere of “Suits LA“, Korsh addressed the question about Meghan Markle reprising her role as Rachel Zane:

You know what I mean? To me, considering the possibility of Meghan or any other cast member acting in their own roles seems a bit… frankly, it’s hard for me to even imagine that scenario.

It seems like the world is becoming too chaotic for her return, but should Meghan choose to come back under any conditions, she is more than welcome.

Given that Gabriel Macht’s character, Harvey Specter, is set to reappear, there’s a strong desire among fans for Meghan Markle to make a screen appearance as well. However, it’s understandable why incorporating her might prove challenging. When queried about the possibility of Markle rejoining the Suits cast, he responded, “Absolutely, absolutely, always. But realistically, it could be too much of a disruption to the narrative if we breach the fourth wall in that way.

Meghan Markle’s Character Arc As Rachel Zane in ‘Suits’

Meghan Markle’s character, Rachel Zane, made her debut in the first season of Suits as a shrewd paralegal. As the series progressed, Rachel grew from being a key player, working alongside the unconventional lawyer Mike Ross at Pearson Hardman, despite having secured a job at her father’s law firm. In the same universe as the original series, the character played by Meghan Markle was written off in a manner consistent with the plot. Aaron Korsh acknowledges the difficulty of reintroducing her due to Markle’s real-life transition from acting to becoming the Duchess of Sussex and her retirement from acting in 2018.
