2025 saw the conclusion of “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” sparking excitement among fans for the upcoming “Star Wars” series. Finally, it’s Cassian Andor’s turn again as “Star Wars: Andor” Season 2 is due to air this spring. In preparation for its release, a first trailer for Season 2 has been unveiled, offering a sneak peek into what the highly-regarded show will bring us this time around.
The new preview lasts approximately 90 seconds, showcasing events within the expanding Rebellion while introducing important characters. These characters range from recurring figures such as Cassian Andor and Mon Mothma from Season 1, to fresh faces who debuted in the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Notable newcomers include Forest Whitaker reprising his character Saw Gerrera, anarchist rebel cell leader, and Ben Mendelsohn returning as Orson Callan Krennic, the individual who originally oversaw the construction of the Death Star.
Star Wars: Andor is set to continue its story within two months starting from April 22. The second season will air three episodes weekly, with Tony Gilroy penning the first three, Beau Willimon responsible for episodes 4-6, Dan Gilroy taking over the next three, and Tom Bissell writing the final trilogy. In total, there will be 12 episodes in this season.
