2K Games has unveiled the ranking for Roman Reigns, the main character on the cover of WWE 2K25. Surprisingly, he isn’t the top-ranked wrestler in the entire lineup.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m stoked to share some exciting news! In the upcoming 2K25, it looks like Roman Reigns will be dominating the scene with an impressive rating of 96. This puts him right up there among the top active wrestlers in the game, sharing the spotlight with none other than the reigning WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes! Can’t wait to see these powerhouses in action!
2K’s disclosure left the WWE OTC unhappy, and it seemed his fan base shared the sentiment. Upon learning that the game would highlight multiple legends with ratings superior to his own, 2K described the move as “unworthy” or “poorly made.
Regardless, falling short of perfection remains unacceptable for the individual who has maintained the company’s top gold award for more than three years in a row. Even sharing the same rating with the person who usurped his position seems like a heavy blow to his pride.
Surely, everything is neatly maintained within their circle. At least one individual from the Samoan clan is making an effort to preserve the remnants of a tradition that resembles ‘kayfabe’.
Regardless of relinquishing the championship title the previous year and missing most of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, supporters remain eager for Reigns to have a better ranking compared to Cody Rhodes.
For the second consecutive year, the evaluation of Roman Reigns has decreased from its peak. Last time, he received a rating of 97. However, in the year 2023, during his historic title reign, the ex-Shield member achieved a flawless score of 100.
Interestingly enough, it seems quite unexpected that the year 2025, out of all possible years, will see Roman Reigns as the main cover character for the game. Intriguingly, 2K themselves have planned a showcase around the Bloodline, a captivating storyline that’s been one of the most engaging in recent years from the company. However, it appears this narrative could be nearing its end.
2K Games has created “The Island” for both Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 gamers (regrettably omitting PC and previous generation players); this game offers a partially open environment filled with recognizable landmarks that pay tribute to legendary wrestlers, such as Roman.
On March 14th, WWE 2K25 is set to release on PC, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. If you buy either the Bloodline or Deadman edition, you’ll get a chance to play it a week ahead of others!
