The new date and location for Billy McFarland‘s Fyre Fest 2 have been announced, assuming the event proceeds.
I’m thrilled to share that our visionary leader announced recently that the delayed sequel of our beloved festival series will unfold on Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico, from April 25th to April 28th. McFarland explained that they simply needed an additional month to ensure all partners have ample time to prepare everything flawlessly. Although the lineup hasn’t been disclosed yet, he hinted at a diverse roster of artists covering electronic, hip hop, pop, and rock genres. Moreover, he teased potential additions such as a pro skateboarder showcasing tricks and an MMA champion offering morning classes on techniques.
The cost for general admission tickets is set at $1,400 USD, while the “Prometheus” package, which accommodates eight people, ranges from $1.1 million USD. McFarland explained that the “Prometheus” package includes being on a boat and having luxury yachts docked and parked outside the island. He further added that Fyre is not only about the luxurious experience, but also about the adventure, implying that you’ll be scuba diving with him.
In March 18 of last year, McFarland admitted to committing fraud, which stemmed from incidents during the initial Fyre Festival held in 2017. Initially given a sentence of six years, he was discharged from prison in 2022.
