According to The New York Post, it was confirmed by police sources that actress Trachtenberg was found dead at 8:00 AM on Wednesday in a luxury apartment complex in New York. Her death is not being treated as suspicious at this time, though some reports indicate she recently had a liver transplant. Some people have expressed worry for her health based on her recent social media activity.
On Instagram, Trachtenberg boasts 800,000 followers, among whom some admirers expressed worry after seeing recent pictures of the actress. They left comments expressing concern about her weight and suspected drug use. In response to such comments, Trachtenberg retorted, “Apparently you misplaced your calendar and didn’t realize I’m not 14, but 38. It’s unfortunate that you felt compelled to post a comment like that.” It appears that these fans were more concerned about Trachtenberg’s well-being rather than criticizing her looks. Michelle Trachtenberg’s Career Was Filled With Beloved Roles
Born on October 11, 1985, in New York City, Michelle Trachtenberg embarked on her career back in 1998 with a Wisk detergent commercial and later appeared in the second season of ‘Law & Order’. However, she truly captured the hearts of young audiences as Nona F. Mecklenberg in the popular Nickelodeon series ‘The Adventures of Pete & Pete’, from 1994 to 1996. Interestingly, during this time, she also played Lily Montgomery on the ABC soap opera ‘All My Children’. Trachtenberg’s first film role was in 1996’s ‘Harriet the Spy’, produced by Nickelodeon, which earned $26.6 million against a budget of $12 million.
In the year 2000, Trachtenberg attained her most significant role yet, as Dawn Summers in the popular series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” This marked a reunion with Sarah Michelle Gellar, whom she had worked with on “All My Children” previously. Trachtenberg continued to be part of “Buffy” until its conclusion in 2003. The year after, she appeared in the comedy “Eurotrip,” which has since gained cult status. Some of her other film appearances include “Inspector Gadget,” “Ice Princess,” and “17 Again.
Throughout the years, Trachtenberg kept herself occupied in both film and TV, appearing in the 2006 remake of “Black Christmas” and the series “Gossip Girl” on The CW. On the latter, she portrayed the captivating Georgina Sparks, a character so well-received that she returned for multiple episodes during the show’s second season and later in seasons 3, 4, 5, and even the final sixth season. Trachtenberg also revisited her “Gossip Girl” role for the second and final seasons of the revival on Max.
