Chicago Fire’s Next Episode: Heartbreak and a Shocking Decision That Changes Everything!

Caution! Plot details for Episode 14 of Chicago Fire Season 13 on NBC, titled “Bar Time,” will be revealed. It will be available to stream the next day with a Peacock subscription.

Every Wednesday in Chicago is the go-to spot for pulse-pounding action during primetime hours, and this was evidently demonstrated during a thrilling three-part crossover event, scheduled for 2025 television broadcasts. The sneak peek at the next episode of Chicago Fire, airing on March 5, indicates that the emergency responders’ series won’t shy away from life-threatening scenarios even after the close call involving Stella in the crossover. Quite to the contrary, it appears that the upcoming episode will feature a perilous situation where someone might not survive, as hinted by a heart-wrenching shot of Violet crying and a visibly terrified expression on Pascal‘s face.

The developments in Chicago Fire during Season 13’s second half are quite concerning, but I’m still grappling with Carver’s decision at the end of “Bar Time” and his sweet letter for Violet. However, let’s not forget to watch the promo for the upcoming episode titled “Too Close,” which you can find below:

The second part of Season 13 of Chicago Fire has some alarming developments, but I’m still trying to come to terms with Carver’s actions in the final moments of “Bar Time” and his heartwarming letter for Violet. But first things first! Take a look at the promo for next week’s episode called “Too Close,” which can be found below:

To put it simply, despite Violet’s worrying signs regarding Carver in this latest promotional episode, I find myself reassured by his actions at the end of Episode 14. I have a feeling that Kidd being involved in a car accident could just be a misdirection, and it’s Pascal’s wife who has me concerned more than any other character. She seems like a candidate for a shocking death to create an emotional impact, but one that wouldn’t significantly alter the overall narrative. Dermot Mulroney’s expression in scenes suggests a man deeply fearful of losing someone dear.

Indeed, given the sorrow and destruction portrayed in the promotional material, the episode synopsis provided by NBC seems quite amusing in its ability to skirt over major details regarding the impending crisis: a clever dance of words, indeed.

Kidd and Severide eagerly await big news. Pascal searches for the perfect anniversary gift.

Fans will need to tune in for the upcoming episode to discover who’ll bring about sorrow and destruction. While I’m still inclined towards Pascal’s wife as the unfortunate one, given the vast cast of Chicago Fire, no character is guaranteed safety… except possibly Carver this time, considering the scheduling of the next episode.

Due to the emotional turmoil he experienced in “Bar Time,” and my hope that the “Chicago Fire” series wouldn’t abandon his storyline about alcoholism, Violet discovered him lying. His constant efforts to work relentlessly to suppress his urge to drink proved insufficient.

In a tearful conversation with Stella, he confessed that he needed to straighten out his life and establish some kind of base for himself before AA meetings could offer assistance. Carver expressed regret for disappointing his lieutenant, but she reassured him firmly that he hadn’t let her down in any way; instead, she was proud of him.

In the final scene of the episode, it was Jake Lockett who appeared, and this marked his departure. Meanwhile, Violet learned from Stella that Carver would be away for a brief period, which left her feeling disappointed because she didn’t even receive a text message. However, as the episode concluded, things seemed to improve for Violet when Carver compensated in an indirect manner – by the end of the day, Violet found a letter waiting for her in her locker that drifted out as she opened it.

I’m relieved Stella made it clear Carver’s job will still be there whenever he returns, as it would be disappointing if his departure without a word to Violet didn’t lead to any resolution. We don’t know how long he’ll stay away, but with the next episode airing on March 5, it seems likely he’ll miss whatever disaster is coming up!

Don’t forget to tune into NBC every Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET for fresh episodes of Chicago Fire. You can find it sandwiched between Chicago Med airing at 8 p.m. ET and Chicago P.D. at 10 p.m. ET. If you prefer, you can stream all three shows on Peacock, whether you’re looking to revisit old episodes, catch up on recent crossovers, or simply fill in any gaps from episodes you missed.
