There’s More To Love Is Blind’s Madison And Alex Break Up, And Now That I’ve Heard The Details The Season 8 Reunion Can’t Come Soon Enough

In the 2025 TV lineup on Valentine’s Day, Love Is Blind made its comeback, and I found myself drawn into the drama unfolding within the pods among a new group of singles. Despite none of them getting engaged and continuing with the experiment, the most captivating pair to watch was between Alex and Madison. As we eagerly await the arrival of Season 8 episodes for streaming with a Netflix subscription, it’s been disclosed that their relationship didn’t conclude within the pods.

In a recent preview from an episode airing this Friday, we see the reunions of Madison and Alex with the rest of the cast. Here, Madison fills in Lauren about the events that transpired following their breakup and her departure from the pods.

The initial message I received was from Alex, expressing surprise with ‘Oh my goodness.’ It seemed to me that he had just spotted me for the first time in a while… Indeed, and he promptly suggested meeting at the airport. This, after we’d parted ways. My response was, ‘Haven’t we just ended things?’ To which he replied, ‘Could you at least give me a hug?’ And I reluctantly agreed, ‘Alright.’

Wow, that’s why “Love Is Blind” on Netflix is such an engaging series to watch! The experiment never fails to bring about some exciting twists and turns. It seems like Alex, after departing from the show, swiftly searched for Madison on social media, struck by her charm, and even arranged a meet-up before their flights to Minneapolis. As Madison went on…

At the airport, he expressed his amazement at my beauty, suggesting we stay together in L.A., even though we’d recently split up. However, I had already poured all my efforts into those projects before, and if they hadn’t succeeded then, it seemed unlikely they would now. Yet, I sensed a strong desire from him to make things work between us.

I haven’t personally heard Alex’s account of events, but as per Madison’s version, their encounter at the airport saw Alex retracting his decision to break up, even inviting her for a visit in Los Angeles. However, with the recent turmoil still fresh in her mind, Madison found it pointless to invest time into something that had seemingly ended. Here’s a peek at the video below:

As a movie critic eagerly awaiting the next installment of Love Is Blind, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation about how Madison, Alex, and even Mason (if he attends) will navigate the upcoming gathering. While I don’t foresee a rekindling of their relationship, I’m intrigued to see what unfolds next for these individuals, and how they’ll reflect on the entire experience during the reunion, which will air following the finale.

Earlier, when Madison talked about her show experience with People, she noted that while she respected Alex for his optimism, she detected some instances of “overly positive behavior” which seemed unhealthy at times. Additionally, she felt disregarded when he sided with Mason, causing her to doubt their compatibility as a couple. In her own words:

“I admired Alex’s positivity, but I sensed there was something toxic about it too. His backing of Mason made me feel overlooked and led me to question our relationship’s feasibility.

I seek a companion who can comfortably navigate intense emotions without feeling overwhelmed or the need to instantly counteract them with optimism. It seems Alex exhibited this trait frequently.

Even though things didn’t work well with Madison and Alex, I remain somewhat hopeful about this season’s outcome. I recently shared my reunion concept with the TopMob team, after Nick Lachey described the season as “wholesome.
