- Rise of the Golden Idol’s first DLC, The Sin of New Wells is coming March 4th
- New crimes await as we step into the shoes of detective Roy Samson, a new transfer to the 9th district
- But beware, because gruesome murders are not the worst thing he’s set to encounter
The adventure series known as The Golden Idol has taken an exciting journey. Starting from the initial mystery set in history with The Case of the Golden Idol, it then shifted to a gritty, contemporary detective crime tale in Rise of the Golden Idol. For those eagerly waiting, the first DLC for Rise of the Golden Idol will be available on March 4th!
The “Golden Idol Rises” can be played on PC systems, while mobile users can access it only through the Netflix Games collection. On the other hand, “The Sins of New Wells” finds detective Roy Samson relocated to the morally bankrupt 9th District. Partnered with Cliff Savea, it falls upon Samson to unravel a series of grisly murders that hint at an involvement of dark Lemurian sorcery.
In the Golden Idol series, unique puzzle-solving methods are employed, involving the connection of ideas and vocabulary across various modes. By scrutinizing each scene, you accumulate additional proof that can be combined to construct a hypothetical sequence of occurrences or arrive at alternative interpretations.
Into my mind palace
The Golden Idol series stands out among point-and-click games for its innovative approach to introducing fresh mechanics. I find the way they handle mystery-solving and evidence-gathering intriguing, so I can’t wait to see what more crimes we’ll be able to solve in the upcoming DLC expansion.
Simultaneously, the intricate backstory of the Golden Idol series might, on occasion, prove challenging for certain players and leave them feeling excluded.
