Imran Khan, who was out of the spotlight for quite some time, recently disclosed some backstage tales from his 2010 movie I Hate Luv Storys. In a recent chat, the actor from Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na spoke about how Karan Johar, the producer of the film, significantly influenced his persona and aided in “refining” his image by organizing topless photoshoots for him.
Karan Johar deliberately intended to give a more sensual portrayal to Shah Rukh Khan’s character in the movie. In an interview with Moments of Silence podcast, the actor mentioned an occurrence prior to the release of I Hate Luv Storys, stating that “Karan aimed to make my image more appealing.” He further explained, “Usually, I don’t put on much weight, but for this film, I was focusing on my diet and workouts specifically.
In an attempt to make his character more appealing, Imran Khan stated, “We’ve done numerous photoshoots without shirts,” thereby giving his on-screen persona a more captivating quality.
In another words, the movie “I Hate Luv Storys,” featuring Sonam Kapoor, was helmed by Punit Malhotra and gained popularity among younger viewers. This film signified a fresh phase in Imran Khan’s acting career, showcasing him in a bolder persona compared to his previous roles. After that, there have been fluctuations in his career trajectory; his most recent film, “Katti Batti,” came out in 2015 alongside Kangana Ranaut.
Following a hiatus, it appears that Imran Khan, Aamir Khan’s nephew, is contemplating a return to acting. He’s looking over several projects at the moment to find the ideal one for his screen comeback. Rumors suggest that Imran Khan will share the screen with Bhumi Pednekar in an upcoming film that has generated significant anticipation.
It’s been shared that Bhumi hasn’t put her signature on the contract just yet. The script is nearly complete, and it should be ready soon. Afterward, pre-production will kick off quickly, followed by the commencement of filming, which they plan to do shortly after.
