The radiance of the 2025 Oscar winners is still strongly felt by those who were part of the 97th Academy Awards this past weekend. Whether you were simply there for the entertainment or the spectacle, there was plenty to savor.
Though actor Joe Alwyn won’t likely be seen romancing e-Taylor Swift anytime, he may instead be pursuing a connection with Amazon-MGM Studios, potentially around the corner from a couple of 007’s martinis, all set for the upcoming James Bond 26.
It’s Marc Malkin, Variety correspondent, who might have opened a possible door here. He inquired about the interest of the actor from “The Brutalist” in taking on the role of Bond. Although his response was quite positive, it seems clear that he intends to consult with his agents first. They will likely discuss this opportunity with Amazon’s contacts, hoping for a chance to engage in further talks.
Who wouldn’t consider joining, given the opportunity? In other words, it seems unthinkable for anyone not to take part, right?
Similar to how Henry Cavill openly expressed his feelings about the James Bond tale, it’s clear that Joe Alwyn is maintaining his composure, all while showing an enthusiastic eagerness. Just as one might expect!
As a dedicated Bond enthusiast, I must admit that the ongoing speculations about the James Bond franchise have completely shaken up my world. The whispers of Barbara Broccoli’s potential retirement have only intensified these rumors, making me question everything from Aaron Taylor-Johnson being tipped as the next 007 to the supposed tone Amazon-MGM aims for in Bond 26. It seems like every aspect of this legendary series is now open to debate.
It’s wise for an English actor in their 30s, aiming for a prolonged career, to diversify their roles, much like Alwyn’s response to “shaken or stirred” indicates a versatile talent: a promising sign.
I like both. … I do. That’s the problem.
In every instance, there’ll likely be an aspiring actor eager to play James Bond, an opportunity potentially more grand than a quirky independent comedy-drama. By no means was that meant as a criticism, but rather a chance to throw in another reference for the Swifties and those who have seen Mr. Alwyn in “Kinds of Kindness.”
In every case, you’ll find an up-and-coming actor keen on playing James Bond, which might be a bigger role than some offbeat indie comedy-drama. I wasn’t intending to criticize, but rather to mention this as another reference for Swifties and those who watched Mr. Alwyn in “Kinds of Kindness.”)
Even as we discuss Joe Alwyn as a strong candidate for the role of 007, it’s intriguing to imagine him being close enough with Taylor Swift to request her to compose the next James Bond theme song. In the era of Amazon and MGM, where anything can happen, this might seem far-fetched; yet, a past history between them could turn this dream into a ‘Blank Space’.
At present, we’ll simply need to keep an eye on developments regarding James Bond films. Here’s hoping that the new team in charge shares my enthusiasm for Bond, and takes my ideas for Bond 26 into consideration. Cheers to Mr. Alwyn and any other prospective Bonds – may your health and fortune be abundant! The competition is likely to intensify more than ever.
