Dexter: Resurrection is continuing to fill in its ranks.
Actress Krysten Ritter is set to appear on the Showtime series, taking on the character named “Mia.” More information regarding her role is currently under wraps.
The production of a new series brings Michael C. Hall back to reprise his role as Dexter Morgan, the character he originally made famous on Dexter, which debuted on Showtime in 2006 and ran for eight seasons. This summer, we can look forward to the premiere of Dexter: New Beginning.
After the return of Dexter: New Blood, the prequel titled Dexter: Original Sin debuted a year ago and concluded its run last month. The final episode of Original Sin garnered an impressive 2.68 million global viewers, making it Showtime’s most-watched original series globally in the past decade.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter regarding the finale of “Original Sin” and potential plans for season two as well as the overall future of the franchise, showrunner Clyde Phillips hinted at the lineup for “Resurrection”, saying “You’ll be amazed by the cast announcements. It’s going to be a real mind-blower.
Actor Ritter, known for his roles in shows like “Love & Death,” “Jessica Jones,” “Sonic 3,” “Orphan Black: Echoes” and “Breaking Bad,” has been added to the roster that already includes Uma Thurman as Charley, David Zayas reprising his role as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott returning as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine portraying Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf joining as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa taking on the role of Detective Melvin Oliva, Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera, with returning stars James Remar as Dexter’s father Harry Morgan and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater.
In “Dexter: Revival,” the original series’ showrunner, Phillips, takes on the role of executive producer while also serving as showrunner once more. The production is a joint effort between Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios.
Additionally, Hall co-produces the show alongside Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns, with Marcos Siega serving as the producing director. Monica Raymund will take charge of directing four episodes, while Marcos Siega will direct six. The series is distributed for global content by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
