Kevin Hart‘s top films demonstrate that this comedy star exudes a contagious vitality. Those who have watched enough of his stand-up routines or collaborated with the skilled actor likely could convincingly mimic him. Indeed, Bryan Cranston, Hart’s co-star in The Upside, can do so, and he even presented an impressed Hart with a mimicry of him – a mimicry that would be terrifying, if I might add.
Hart has a distinctive voice that would be humorous for anyone to try to imitate. His quick-paced style and animated tone truly make the Primetime Emmy nominee a lot of fun to watch. Just when you thought that The Rock was the only one who could destroy Hart with a hilarious impression, though, a throwback Instagram video proves that another co-star slays at channeling his inner Hart. The Jumanji actor and Bryan Cranston had a fun conversation on The LOL Network in 2019 where the Breaking Bad actor showed Hart his impression of him. While the on-point impersonation is hilarious, you can argue it’s also the stuff of nightmares:

Among all the actors around, I wouldn’t have expected Bryan Cranston to do a Kevin Hart impersonation. Yet, this amusing video is hard not to smile at. Cranston’s swift lines and intense delivery are spot-on! It’s evident that the actor from “Think Like a Man” was quite pleased with his former colleague’s impression, as he couldn’t stop chuckling.
Conversely, I’m equally astonished by how much Bryan Cranston resembles Kevin Hart in his speech. It’s almost as if you could switch the phones between the “Little Miss Sunshine” actor and the “Ride Along” actor without realizing it. Despite Cranston’s skill at portraying the dark, sarcastic Walter White in “Breaking Bad”, we often forget about the light-hearted character he played as Hal on “Malcolm in the Middle”. It’s refreshing to see that playful side of him resurface once more.
In a surprising turn of events, Kevin Hart, who is typically known for his comedic roles, demonstrated exceptional versatility by stepping into the realm of drama in the film “The Upside.” This role offered Hart an opportunity to express a wide range of emotions as he portrayed a paroled convict tasked with caring for a quadriplegic billionaire. The on-screen chemistry between Hart and Bryan Cranston was remarkable, infusing the drama with humor, heart, and fun. Initially, Cranston had reservations about Hart’s suitability for the role due to its departure from Hart’s usual slapstick comedy. However, after a chance encounter at a restaurant, Cranston was convinced of their potential compatibility.
Bryan Cranston’s uncanny impersonation of Kevin Hart demonstrates the deep understanding he developed for the Night School actor while working together in The Upside. It seems Cranston couldn’t help but catch the infectious energy and style of his co-star. However, hearing the comedian’s voice emanate from the Your Honor actor still gives me a strange feeling. I can’t wait to see who else Cranston can mimic. Keep an eye on our 2025 movie releases for updates on Hart and Cranston’s upcoming film projects.
