The animated series based on Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe’s fantasy adventure manga made its debut in autumn 2023, wrapping up a podcast discussion in spring 2024 with a total of 28 episodes. This highly-anticipated show was produced by Madhouse, an esteemed animation studio responsible for hit series like Hunter x Hunter, the first season of One Punch Man, and several Satoshi Kon films. In 2024, Frieren S1 emerged as a surprise sensation and was hailed as Anime of The Year by prestigious outlets such as IGN and Crunchyroll.
