In recent times, anime-based video games have experienced an intriguing evolution. Typically, they are confined to arena fighters or action genres, occasionally venturing into role-playing game (RPG) realms. However, there’s been a growing effort to explore new directions with these licenses, leading to some unusual games that I find refreshing to encounter.
As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled to share that the spotlight for this write-up falls on Baki Hanma: Blood Arena, an exciting new announcement in the gaming world! At first glance, one might think it’s just another fighting game due to the anime’s blood-splattering reputation. However, it turns out that Super Punch-Out has had a profound impact on its development.
Let me reiterate, our world is about to offer a fresh take on Super Punch-Out, inspired by the anime series “Baki the Grappler” on Netflix. How marvelous it is to witness such exciting developments!
Given the ongoing demand for a remastered version of the Wii’s Punch-Out game, it’s understandable that fans find it strange yet intriguing to see another title utilizing a similar gameplay style. Previously, the Baki Punch-Out game may not have been on anyone’s wishlist, but this unexpected announcement certainly piques curiosity.
Does the latest Punch-Out Baki game seem too ordinary for your taste? How about giving a spin on an Among Us-inspired Death Note game instead?
The unexpected Death Note Killer Within game caught everyone’s attention since it had been quite some time since the series was popular. Despite being years old, its story remains intriguing and often discussed by fans. Conceiving this franchise as a video game probably seemed unbelievable. Fortunately, Among Us provided these developers with an inspiring concept.
The game “Killer Within” isn’t surrounded by much excitement, possibly due to “Among Us” being more affordable. However, uncovering the identity of the killer in this game seems a fitting application of the Death Note franchise’s concept. Though it may not offer the best multiplayer experience, attempting something original with an anime-style game deserves recognition.
It’s understandable that someone thought of blending Death Note and Among Us, but it leaves us wondering who came up with the idea for a game that is a copy of Dying Light featuring Dragon Ball characters.
Among the titles listed, Dragon Ball: The Breakers stands out as one of the more unusual additions to the series. Unlike typical games where you fight Frieza and Cell as Goku, in this game, you’re playing as ordinary people trying to evade monstrous villains. You have the option to create your own character or choose popular characters like Bulma, but you’ll find that these villains are always chasing after you.
The game “The Breakers” carries a captivating history, as some gamers find delight in this title reminiscent of Dying Light, while others suspect it’s fraudulent due to its extensive DLC content. Despite varied responses regarding the execution, it’s intriguing to observe the series attempting something beyond the usual fighting game genre.
I’m quite fond of the ongoing trend in anime games featuring unusual gameplay mechanics, and I’m good with arena fighters as well. Games adapting anime stories are always welcome, such as the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series or the new Bleach fighter. It’s also exciting when developers opt to create something uniquely different.
