Previously this year, well-known Bollywood vocalist Udit Narayan found himself embroiled in a dispute after he kissed a female admirer on her lips at a live performance. Shortly afterwards, footage of the incident spread rapidly online, sparking a wide range of opinions among viewers. Now, respected actress from Bollywood Kunickaa Sadanand has weighed in on this controversy during an exclusive conversation with TopMob’s Hindi Rush.
Actress Kunickaa Sadanand is recognized for her roles in films such as Beta, Gumraah, and Khiladi, among others. She is a seasoned performer who has been involved in over 100 movies spanning several decades. During our conversation, she also commented on the Udit Narayan kissing controversy. Expressing her opinion, this well-known figure in film and television industry said, “Udit Narayan Ji indeed kissed, which is acceptable, but he did it at an inappropriate place. He should’ve kissed on the cheek instead.

She continued to support the singer by explaining that performers are full of vigor and enthusiasm when performing for their passionate audience. The actress from Hum Saath-Saath Hain then made a point, saying, “Even girls have appeared in such situations. Why are you only blaming the man? If sweets are served on your tray, won’t you eat them too?
Kunickaa went on to say that it’s not right to criticize the senior musical maestro, Udit Narayan, merely because he is who he is. “You’re asking why did he do that? But aren’t you questioning him while you yourself are engaged in your own actions. (Why are you judging him. Aren’t you also involved in your own deeds.)
Following the uproar, Narayan tackled the matter head-on. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he conveyed that certain fans can be quite intense. Yet, he maintains a composed demeanor and is known for his good manners.
