Just like Amanda Seyfried, anyone could find themselves in an awkward clothing mishap situation – her case happened to be with Glen Powell present.
In a recent chat with People, the actress from Mamma Mia! shared a memorable moment when, at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards, I experienced an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction – my gown didn’t quite hold up as it should have.
Or, more casually:
At a sit-down with People, that Mamma Mia! actress told a funny story about the time my dress let me down at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards. You know, the whole ‘oops, boobs out’ moment.
She mentioned that she had put on an old yet fantastic Dior dress for amusement prior to going out. Later in the evening, the dress, which was somewhat fragile and coming apart at the seams, actually began to disintegrate on the red carpet. During interviews, she recalled it tearing off.
That particular year, Seyfried received a nomination for the title of Best Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie category, all thanks to her performance in ‘The Dropout’. Eventually, she was successful in clinching the award.
During a private chat with Glen Powell earlier that evening, the actress found herself in an awkward situation. She was laughing and joking with him when, mid-conversation, her dress suddenly lost its integrity. As she raised her arms, the dress failed, exposing more than she intended. The actress from “Long Bright River” explained the incident: “My boobs were just out, and my dress fell apart.
In a similar situation, we both let out a shout, and as a kind soul, he swiftly shielded me,” the Emmy recipient continued about the actor from Anyone But You>. “He appeared unfazed… or so it seemed. Frankly, none of us anticipated such an event, but that gown clearly reached its limit.
Later, upon receiving her award, Seyfried mentioned that she unexpectedly wore another person’s coat on stage since, in her words, “it was simply more suitable for covering my dress.
More recently, the mother of two had a chat with The Hollywood Reporter about her current work and future plans, such as The Housemaid, which is directed by Paul Feig. This film will feature her acting alongside Brandon Sklenar and Sydney Sweeney, who was once her co-star in Anyone But You.
When inquired about the most prompt way to secure a “yes” from her, she replied, “If my agent informs me that a film project is underway by Paul Feig, based on a top-selling novel, with a New Jersey location and Sydney Sweeney involved, I’d say ‘let’s make it happen’. Just negotiate the terms.” (She laughs). She didn’t require any further details to make her decision.
The film is slated for a Christmas release.
