In my opinion, the Season 3 finale of “The Traitors” stood out as the best in the series when it was broadcast during the 2025 TV schedule. However, while watching the climactic scenes with my Peacock subscription, I found myself thinking that despite its strengths, the game still had significant flaws.
For one, fans could greatly benefit from episodes demonstrating the challenges of remaining loyal. Additionally, I have concerns about how the series tends to reward subpar gaming strategies. To elaborate further, here’s a suggested improvement:
Instead of simply rewarding the traitors for their deceitful actions, consider implementing consequences that make it more difficult for them to maintain their positions of power. This would create a more balanced playing field and encourage strategic thinking among both the faithful and the traitors alike. This change might add an extra layer of complexity to the game while still preserving its core elements, ultimately making “The Traitors” even more engaging and exciting for viewers.
Dylan Efron, DeLores Catania, Lord Ivar Mountbatten, and Gabby Windey formed the biggest contingent of Loyalists to emerge victorious in a season of “The Traitors.” However, it’s worth noting that only around half of them truly deserved the win. Even Andy Cohen criticized DeLores during the reunion for her unusual voting pattern, which I suspect was strategic because the game becomes less challenging for Loyalists if they pretend to be uninformed.
The Traitors’ Format Consistently Rewards People Who Are Terrible At The Game
TopMob extensively discussed Delores’ controversial gameplay strategies throughout Season 3, expressing surprise at her winning a portion of the $204,300 prize money at the end. She accurately identified the Traitor on only two out of five occasions and purposefully targeted kind individuals, such as fan-favorite Tom Sandoval, when they were merely spreading positive energy without any wrongdoing. Is it fair that she received a share of this money given her questionable gameplay?
In a regrettable twist, the show titled “The Traitors” actually encourages Faithful participants to perform poorly at the game. This strategy benefits the contestants if they keep individuals who aren’t plotting against them or unaware of the game’s dynamics around. Consequently, those who compete like Delores do, by staying under the radar, often survive when eliminations occur, while more active players tend to be eliminated instead.
It appears some loyal viewers may be strategically feigning ignorance in order to make it easier to identify traitors later on in the game. I’ve hinted this theory to other fans of the show, suggesting that Dolores was deliberately manipulating votes to reach the end. However, this idea has been questioned. Regardless, the series should address this potential aspect.
How The Traitors Season 4 Could Weed Out Useless Faithfuls
One solution that “The Traitors” could employ to improve poor gameplay by Faithful is by ensuring immunity for players who correctly vote out a Traitor when necessary. For instance, in this specific season, if any player had voted out Bob The Drag Queen following his confrontation with Boston Rob, they would have been given protection, shielding them from elimination the next day. On the other hand, those who disagreed would face potential elimination. This approach encourages active participation and strategic decision-making instead of passive play.
More On The Traitors

Initially, I wasn’t certain if I would take a liking to the “Traitors” given that I’m not familiar with most of the participants. However, I felt compelled to discuss how quickly it managed to captivate me.
It’s worth noting that this “fix” might lead to problems as well. The roundtables in “The Traitors” have generally steered clear of unanimous votes, but it could become more frequent when safety is at stake. Maybe this feature would only last during the initial phase of the game and then be removed later on?
Regardless of what adjustments they’re considering, I truly hope the team behind the show is actively thinking about ways to enhance the game for future seasons, including Season 4 and beyond.
You can currently stream all three seasons of “The Traitors” on Peacock. Keep an eye out for announcements regarding the upcoming seasons 4 and 5.
