As the Season 7 winner of Big Brother, I, Mike “Boogie” Malin, had a close bond with Dr. Will Kirby during my time on CBS’s reality series many years ago. Fast forward to today, we find ourselves in another chapter of our ongoing legal disputes. Following a stalking conviction against him, my former friend has been in the news again due to issues connected to his old Chilltown partner, and unfortunately, I was recently arrested in connection with these matters.
According to reports, Malin was taken into custody and imprisoned last Friday, as a warrant had been issued because he didn’t show up for his court date. TMZ stated that the legal proceeding involved him breaching a restraining order imposed against Dr. Will Kirby, as well as reaching out to the wife of the Season 2 Big Brother champion. The bail has been set at $20,000, and Malin will return to court on March 20th.
Inside Dr. Will Kirby And Mike “Boogie” Malin’s Legal Troubles
2022 saw TopMob reporting that the winner of Big Brother, referred to as BB, faced an arrest warrant due to non-attendance at court. This situation originated from a troubling stalking incident that occurred several years ago. Despite their close bond during their seasons 2 and 7 appearances on Big Brother, Mike Boogie and Dr. Will drifted apart in the years that followed. Will chose to concentrate on his medical career, while Mike Boogie became entangled in legal matters, one of which involved accusations of embezzlement.
It is said that conflicts between Dr. Will Kirby and Mike Malin started after the former’s friend was asked by the latter to join him on The Amazing Race. Kirby declined, which made it improbable for the “Chilltown” duo to be formed, potentially denying Malin an invitation. Reportedly, Malin grew angry and started sending threatening emails and phone calls to Kirby and his brother. One of these communications even contained a photo of Malin brandishing a gun, with images of Will’s daughter and wife in the background.
In a recent turn of events, Malin did not dispute the accusations and was compelled to compensate for damages, carry out 160 community service hours, and continue adhering to the restraining order previously issued by Kirby. As per the latest updates, it seems that this restraining order remains active.
Dr. Will Has Returned To Reality TV
As a seasoned critic, I must say, despite my initial reluctance to take part in The Amazing Race alongside Mike “Boogie” Malin, I’ve found myself once more entangled in the vibrant world of reality television. In Season 2 of The Traitors, I made quite an impact, ruffling a few feathers with my candid remarks about fellow Big Brother alums. Additionally, I recently graced the cast list of Deal or No Deal Island, a show that Peacock subscribers can enjoy streaming.
It’s uncertain if Dr. Will Kirby, who previously hosted the jury roundtable for multiple seasons, will reappear in Big Brother Season 27 this year. He stepped down from hosting shortly before his TV comeback, so it’s possible he might return to his role. Meanwhile, we also watch out for Mike Malin as he navigates ongoing legal matters.
