Daniel Radcliffe Joins Tracy Morgan in NBC Comedy From ’30 Rock’ Alums

NBC‘s Tracy Morgan comedy pilot has added another big name to its cast.

Daniel Radcliffe is set to appear alongside Morgan in the initial episode of a new series, which has several individuals from “30 Rock” in key roles, including executive producer Tina Fey. The show features Morgan as Reggie, a disgraced former football player seeking to repair his tarnished reputation.

Radcliffe takes on the role of Arthur Tobin, a renowned movie director, who shifts residence into Reggie’s grand estate to produce an engaging documentary centered around the former football star’s life.

Earlier this month, NBC commissioned a pilot for a new show. The series originates from writer Sam Means, known for his work on “Girls5Eva” and “30 Rock.” Alongside Tina Fey, Adam Morgan, and Robert Carlock (also an alumnus of “30 Rock”), Means serves as executive producer. Universal Television, where Means, Fey, and Carlock all hold overall deals, is the production studio.

If it gets a green light, this comedy will be Radcliffe’s debut on an American television show. He has previously collaborated with Fey and her team, appearing in Netflix’s film “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend” and the animated series “Mulligan.

More recently, Daniel Radcliffe concluded a Tony Award-worthy stint in a remake of Stephen Sondheim’s musical Merrily We Roll Along. The former Harry Potter actor received an Emmy nomination in 2023 for his portrayal as the main character in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Among his recent works are TBS’ series Miracle Workers and the movie The Lost City. Currently, Daniel Radcliffe is represented by Artist Rights Group, Avalon Management, and Felker Toczek.
