As an avid fan, I’m buzzing with excitement over the latest announcement from the Delta Force official social media account! They’ve hinted at some major news coming up, which has sparked speculation among us gamers that it might be the console release date we’ve all been waiting for!
The renowned series makes its comeback as an unquestionable free-to-play strategic team shooter set in modern times, and it’s been accessible on computers for several months now. Originally launched with closed trials, Delta Force is currently conducting a global open beta test. Additionally, the Black Hawk Down campaign will be released for computer gamers in February.
Nonetheless, the console edition has not yet been launched; game director Shadow Guo recently disclosed that it was postponed from its initial Q1 2025 launch schedule.
Guo mentioned that the console edition looks promising so far, however, he believes that the total user experience, particularly the responsiveness of player inputs such as controller harmony and compatibility with interactions, still needs some refinement to reach our desired quality level.
For Guo and his team at TiMi Studio Group, the primary concern now lies in perfecting the console build. However, he mentioned that they will release a console roadmap at some point in the future.
Given the high level of excitement surrounding the console version, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to speculate that this new sneak peek from Delta Force might hint at an official release date or a timeline for future updates, as Guo had mentioned earlier.

Currently, as I type, there are no additional updates from the Delta Force account on X, which only serves to heighten the anticipation and intrigue among fans. Given that a new Battlefield game is in development and the next installment of Call of Duty is slated for release this year, it’s likely that TiMi Studio Group will strive to enhance the accessibility of Delta Force more quickly than later.
