As a lifestyle enthusiast and avid follower of the Krrish franchise, I must confess that the anticipation for the next installment, Krrish 4, has been palpable among fans like myself for quite some time. And it seems our wait might finally be over! Legendary filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has hinted at an official announcement regarding the highly-awaited Hrithik Roshan starrer superhero movie. Needless to say, this tantalizing tidbit is sure to amp up our collective excitement!
During a chat with ANI News, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan hinted at the possibility of another Krrish movie by mentioning that an official announcement about it will be made shortly, suggesting “Yes, it’s just about ready now. I’ll be making the announcement soon.
Previously, Rakesh Roshan shared that he was stepping away from film direction. This implies that after completing Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish, and Krrish 3, he won’t be in charge of the upcoming sequel. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, he expressed his thoughts on another director taking on the project.
Roshan expressed, “Eventually, I’ll need to hand over the task.” He felt it was wise to do so while he was still lucid and clear-minded, allowing him to supervise everything and make sure things were done accurately. Furthermore, he mentioned that even if Rakesh Roshan directs Krrish 4, there’s no certainty that it would be a box office hit.
In an interview with TopMob in 2023, Rakesh Roshan expressed that he wouldn’t start production on Krrish 4 until he felt confident about the project. He explained, “We have a draft for the script, but we’re constantly refining it. I believe there is room for further development. In our industry where budgets aren’t as high as Hollywood’s, the content needs to be captivating and innovative within the realm of superheroes.
With a sense of conviction, he deemed the script as ‘enchanting’, believing wholeheartedly that it would captivate the viewers within the initial 15 minutes.
In the upcoming movie from YRF Spy Universe titled War 2, you’ll see Hrithik Roshan sharing the screen with Kiara Advani and Jr. NTR. The creators have announced that chaos will reign in theaters on August 14, 2025, across the globe. Interestingly, Hrithik still has a dance sequence to film for this movie, which got postponed due to his leg injury.
