The highly anticipated series titled “Daredevil: Born Again” is garnering significant acclaim during its airtime on the 2025 TV lineup. It’s well-written, convincingly acted, and skilfully choreographed. Moreover, Disney+ subscribers seem to enjoy how it aligns with the previous Marvel/Netflix productions. With Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock back in action, whispers suggest that his fellow Defenders might make a comeback as well. I find this idea intriguing, but I’d also welcome the return of another superhero team at some point in the future.
Which Group Of Heroes Would I Love To See Brought Back To The Marvel Cinematic Universe?
In the Marvel live-action series, both television and film, numerous groups have been established such as the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and S.H.I.E.L.D.’s spy team led by Phil Coulson. While these teams are frequently discussed, there’s one group that isn’t often brought up anymore – the Runaways. These young superheroes were the main characters in a three-season series (available on Disney+ for streaming).
In case you’ve forgotten, the critically acclaimed series “Runaways,” adapted from the popular comic book series by Brian K. Vaughn and Adrian Alphona, made its debut on Hulu in 2017. Similar to its original content, this coming-of-age story revolves around six former friends who are reunited when they discover that their parents belong to a wicked group called Pride. As a result of this revelation, the youths band together and flee from their parents. During their escape, they uncover their extraordinary powers and talents.
Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, as showrunners, made some alterations to the original content, but what they ultimately created was an engaging teen drama that offered a well-blended mix of action, emotion, and laughter. This series concluded in late 2019, and by the finale’s events, all six main characters were still alive.

Why I Would Like To See The Runaways Return?
I find great pleasure in the well-crafted characters and intriguing relationships within this youthful ensemble. Characters like Alex Wilder, Nico Minoru, Chase Stein, Karolina Dean, Gert Yorkes, and Molly Hayes Hernandez are not only amusing but also complex – a combination that I appreciate. To top it off, the actors who brought these characters to life did an outstanding job in their respective roles. It’s hard to predict whether these six would agree to reprise their roles for a future Marvel TV series or film, but it sure is enjoyable to speculate!

You can get Disney+ and Hulu together at a special price of just $2.99 per month for 4 months! This amazing deal usually costs $10.99 per month, so you’re saving a whopping 72%. However, please note that new and returning customers who are eligible can’t enjoy this discounted rate indefinitely. Nevertheless, you will still have access to an under-$3 bundle during the initial four months of your subscription.
With a Disney+ subscription, you’ll gain access to fantastic youth-oriented superhero series like Runaways, Cloak & Dagger, and Ms. Marvel, among others!

One intriguing aspect that amplifies the thrill is the possibility of these fantasy characters engaging directly with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as they were confined to their specific segment during the series. The exception was the engaging crossover with Cloak & Dagger, another show boasting compelling characters who deserve a comeback.
As a fan, I can’t help but get excited about the possibility of these teen characters from different universes intersecting! The Multiverse Saga has brought an incredible array of fresh, young heroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and it would be absolutely thrilling to see the Runaways, based in sunny California, interact with this dynamic group.
Imagine them sharing stories, learning from each other, and maybe even joining forces! The Young Avengers team, with characters like Kate Bishop, Kamala Khan, Riri Williams, and others, would be a perfect fit for the Runaways. This crossover could bring about some amazing adventures and character development for all involved.

What’s Going On With The Defenders’ Potential Reformation?
Marvel is typically secretive about the possibility of bringing back Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist to join Daredevil. However, Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel’s TV and streaming division, has hinted to Entertainment Weekly that they are actively considering options for these characters. Additionally, actors Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) and Mike Colter (Luke Cage) have shown interest in revisiting their roles in the past few years.
It appears there’s a possibility that the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s street-level heroes will reunite again. I can only hope that the Runaways, being fantastic characters with immense potential, are not overlooked in this scenario, as they could greatly enrich the storylines if fully integrated into the larger universe.
