Sara Ali Khan, daughter of renowned Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, boasts a rich film heritage much like her parents. On track to become one of the industry’s leading stars, she openly acknowledges her frugality with money, even though she could easily enjoy a lavish lifestyle. In a recent conversation, she disclosed that her mother continues to oversee her finances, and all one-time passwords (OTPs) are sent to Amrita Singh’s phone.
On numerous instances, Sara Ali Khan has expressed her cautiousness when it comes to spending her earnings. At the Times Now Summit 2025, she shared insights about her financial management. The actress confessed that to this day, her mother Amrita Singh manages her funds and she requires her mother’s approval before making even a simple booking.
When queried about her financial management, the actress from Kedarnath shared that she’s found it beneficial over time to invest modest sums in various locations. She further disclosed, “My mother manages all my finances. Even my Google Pay account is linked to hers. The verification codes (OTPs) are sent to her phone.
When queried about receiving allowance from her mom, the actress known for playing Murder Mubarak revealed that she needs Singh’s permission before booking a ticket, which explains how her mom stays informed about her daughter’s whereabouts.
In the same conversation, it was mentioned by Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter that she takes great care in deciding how she uses her funds. This young actress confessed that she generally dislikes wasteful spending, yet she is willing to indulge herself on occasion.
Sara, who has a passion for travel, frequently sets aside money for it and doesn’t own an expensive Hermes handbag herself. However, since her mother does, she often borrows one from her. “I value practicality,” Sara said, “I hope to buy a Chanel bag someday, but if you’re happy with Zara, that’s perfectly fine too.
