With the stunning unveiling of the novel’s logo becoming animated, director Francis Lawrence expressed enthusiasm over how the film is heavily influenced by the original trilogy. While he enjoyed working on the previous prequel, ‘Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’, he referred to this forthcoming movie as a “return to roots”, mainly because it’s set at a later point in the timeline where the arena is described as “spectacular” and visually stunning. Lawrence also mentioned that it’s his “favorite book from the series”.
