SurrealEstate’s Tim Rozon & Sarah Levy Tease “Nerve-Wracking” Season 3 Changes

In the Season 2 finale of SYFY‘s SurrealEstate, Luke Roman (Tim Rozon) and Susan Ireland (Sarah Levy), who were often at odds, managed to reach a harmonious understanding. They recognized and valued their friendship and the joint venture they shared in dealing with supernatural real estate transactions.

However, almost every associate at their Roman-Ireland Agency departed to explore fresh career ventures individually. August Ripley (Maurice Dean Wint), leveraging his technical abilities, moved to the private sector at Rochelle’s (Joy Tanner) R&D company; Father Phil Orley (Adam Korson), who was previously a Catholic monk, accepted a role as an investigator for the Church in Rome; and Zooey (Savannah Basley), the front desk manager, opted to attend law school.

When “SurrealEstate” Season 3 resumes on SYFY on April 3 at 10:00 p.m. ET, three years have elapsed within the series, yet there’s still a lot of change happening within the agency. In our exclusive chat with Rozon and Levy for SYFY WIRE, they give us a sneak peek into how Luke and Susan are striving to expand the business in a positive manner.

Tim Rozon says he got left off the SurrealEstate Season 3 email chain

Rozon and Levy expressed great excitement when creator George R. Olson received approval for a third season of their series, “SurrealEstate.” However, they felt apprehensive about how the show would evolve following the second season finale, titled “Letting Go,” which concluded storylines for several characters and sent many members of the agency’s supporting cast on new paths outside the central office.

Speaking candidly, Levy admitted that filming the last episode of Season 2 felt unsettling because there were so many unanswered questions: “What in the world is going on here?” He continued, “We actors didn’t have all the details, and it seemed incredibly authentic. The uncertainty made us wonder if this was the end, or if our group was disintegrating. There’s such a strong bond among us, and we work together so seamlessly that it was nerve-wracking to consider the possibilities.

The significance of obtaining the initial episodes for Season 3 was perhaps amplified, as they provided a glimpse into where Olson and his team were steering the series. Regrettably, Rozon had to endure a prolonged wait compared to others before receiving responses to his queries.

Rozon chuckled and shared, “It’s quite amusing! You won’t believe it, but I wasn’t included in the initial email distributions for the scripts. I was the only one excluded – no joke!

A friend of mine generously shared some scripts with me, but they preferred to remain anonymous, just in case it wasn’t okay for them to do so initially. They may or may not be participating in this Zoom call, he mentioned while looking at Levy. I was a bit late to the game as I had received all the scripts at once and spent almost an entire day reading through them. I couldn’t help but read one after another, they were that captivating.

Rozon and Levy were excited to learn that Season 3 is essentially a rebuilding phase, featuring some well-known characters such as Dean Wint, Basley, Elena Juatco playing Lomax, and Tennille Read reprising her role as Megan, Luke’s former love.

Fortunately, we’ve managed to gradually reel our team members back in a bit as the season progresses, Levy explained. Given that Season 3 commences with us as the Roman-Ireland Agency, you might assume everyone would be present, but they aren’t. However, this isn’t your typical agency; it demands exceptional individuals to work here. Thankfully, we don’t lack most of those special people for too long.
