Dr. Martens is commemorating 65 years of its renowned 1460 boot by introducing its most luxurious version yet. Whether you’re a dedicated shoe enthusiast or a regular Dr. Martens wearer, the 1460 MIE Pascal Love Letter boot promises an air of sophistication to your collection.
I’m thrilled to share that Dr. Martens has come back home to its original factory in Northamptonshire, honoring the iconic design and the tireless workers who bring it to life on the production line. It’s a heartfelt homage to our roots, with just 1,460 pairs being made – a testament to one of our most exclusive limited runs as a brand.
The burgundy high-top boot is meticulously crafted by hand, in partnership with a Leeds-based tannery called C. F. Stead, to obtain premium full-grain Classic Calf leather. It’s gently polished to give it a subtle sheen. The captivating color features a blend of natural waxes and oils that adjust over time. A design element inspired by Dr. Martens’s original creations, the asymmetrical panelling, complements the boot along with yellow welt stitching, rubber soles, and the “1.4.60” stamp on the tongue, rounding off the overall aesthetic.
The 1460 MIE Pascal Love Letter boot is available now in-store and online via Dr. Martens.
