Krrish 4: Hrithik Roshan finally opens up about directing superhero movie; ‘Can’t tell you how nervous…’

Excited fans have been on tenterhooks for news about the upcoming blockbuster film Krrish 4. In a shocking turn of events, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan disclosed that actor Hrithik Roshan will be helming the superhero project. Now, Hrithik himself has shared his emotions and admitted to feeling quite apprehensive about it.

At the Rangotsav event in Atlanta, United States, on April 4, 2025, Hrithik Roshan announced that he would be directing Krrish 4 for the first time. He expressed his excitement by saying, “I’m stepping behind the camera once more. Wishing myself luck!

In a heartfelt moment, the actor confessed, “I’m absolutely trembling with anticipation.” He admitted that every bit of support meant the world to him. As the crowd roared their approval, Hrithik gratefully acknowledged them and mentioned that he would carry this affection back with him.

In the Krrish series, comprising of Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish, and Krrish 3, it’s been Rakesh Roshan who has taken the director’s chair. But for the next installment, he is handing over the responsibility to his own son.

Last month, Rakesh Roshan used Instagram to announce that Hrithik Roshan would be directing Krrish 4. He stated, “Twenty-five years ago, I introduced you as an actor, and now, after twenty-five more years, you are being introduced as a director by two filmmakers, Aditya Chopra and myself, to carry on our most ambitious project, #Krrish4.

Aditya Chopra is taking on the role of producer for Krrish 4. Speaking about this partnership with TopMob, Rakesh Roshan expressed his delight, saying, “It’s a pleasure to have Aditya as the producer of Krrish 4. It was actually Adi who persuaded Hrithik to take on the director’s role. With their expertise, insight, and advanced technology, Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films are well-equipped to bring this film to life and significantly enhance this project.

According to an insider involved in the project, the movie’s screenplay has been finalized and preparations for production are underway at a rapid pace. The creators plan to start filming as early as the beginning of 2026.
