Based on the success and quick sell-out of the collaborations so far, it appears that “White Lotus” Thailand is emerging as the trendsetting fashion influence for this season.
Although the beloved character Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge) and her eye-catching floral maxi dresses are regrettably absent from season three, the guests at the hotel set in Southeast Asia have become fashion icons in their own right. Alex Bovaird, who has designed the Emmy-winning HBO/Max series’ wardrobes since its first season, shares with The Hollywood Reporter that her favorite ensembles to date are the “girlie duos.” These include Olivia and Paula (Sydney Sweeney and Brittany O’Grady) from the first season, Mia and Lucia (Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannò) from the second season, and now Chloe and Chelsea in the third season!
White Lotus Thailand‘s guests were adorned with clothing from various international brands: European fashion powerhouses such as Valentino, Hermès, Lanvin, and Jacquemus were joined by Bangkok-based silk label Jim Thompson, whose founder had an intriguing tale worthy of Hollywood, and Marie France Van Damme, a designer based in Hong Kong who also has a store in L.A.’s Peninsula Beverly Hills. Additionally, Australia-based brand Zimmermann, Paris-based Mes Demoisselles, and Tara Matthews, a swimwear designer from Corsica, were included in the ensemble.
Bovaird shares with The Hollywood Reporter via email that they blend their preferred selections to maintain the White Lotus resort’s unique ambiance. These choices include Valentino, Poupette St Barth, Lunaflo London, all of which align beautifully with the show due to their romantic and playful nature. Hermès, known for its exquisite resort attire and bags, is also part of the mix, along with David Webb jewelry that brings a touch of eccentricity and vintage glamour. Jim Thompson and Marie France, local discoveries, offer fabrics and silks ideal for tropical settings.
The premiere episode introduced several fashionable attendees arriving at White Lotus Thailand, including the three friends, Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan), Laurie Duffy (Carrie Coon), and Kate Bohr (Leslie Bibb) who were on a girls’ trip; as well as the Ratliff family from the South – Victoria (Parker Posey), her pharmacologically-dependent spouse Timothy (Jason Isaacs), their eldest son Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger), their Buddhist daughter Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook), and their laidback youngest son Lochlan (Sam Nivola).

Additionally, there’s Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood), a free-spirited British woman with a bohemian vibe, and her boyfriend Rick Hatchett (Walton Goggins), who has a penchant for wearing Hawaiian shirts. There’s also Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon), a glamorous lady from Quebec, dating Gary/Greg (Jon Gries). Lastly, Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell) is the visiting spa manager at White Lotus Hawaii.

Besides them, we have Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood), a British free-spirit with bohemian flair, and her Hawaiian shirt-wearing boyfriend Rick Hatchett (Walton Goggins). Also, there’s Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon), a stylish Quebec native who’s dating Gary/Greg (Jon Gries), and Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell) from the White Lotus Hawaii spa management team.
Artist Scooter LaForge was enlisted by Bovaird for hand-painted tees at the party of Chelsea and Chloe, located in West Village. Additionally, the costume designer collaborated with H&M on a capsule collection based on the show, which quickly sold out. The series has also partnered with various brands like Banana Republic, Brunch, Away, Abercrombie & Fitch, and more. Similarly, the cast of The White Lotus Thailand can be seen sporting clothing from contemporary brands such as Johnny Was, My Beachy Side, Ciao Lucia, among others.

Aficionados of “The White Lotus” get a glimpse into the casual attire of the resort staff too. Besides Belinda, the team at the Southeast Asian resort consists of health advisor Mook (popularly known as Lalisa Manobal from Blackpink), security officer Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong), expat Valentin from Russia (Arnas Fedaravičius), owner Sritala Hollinger of the resort (Patravadi Mejudhon) and hotel manager Fabian (Christian Friedel).
On Sunday, you can catch the conclusion of season three for “The White Lotus” at 6 p.m. Pacific Time / 9 p.m. Eastern Time on HBO, or stream it anytime on Max.
As we approach the last episode, I can’t help but ponder if Mook will ever step out of her signature khaki coord sets as a Blackpink fan. Intriguingly, Bovaird hints at what she wears off-duty, teasing, “She’s usually in those adorable uniforms, but you’ll have to stay tuned to find out more.

When it comes to the standout guests for season three, Bovaird remarks, “Chloe’s Jacquemus outfits are incredibly stylish and elegant, while Chelsea embodies boho style perfectly. I’m also smitten with Rick’s shirts and loose linen pants paired with leather sandals. Fabian, played by Christian Friedel, is a true fashion icon, though he may not get the recognition he deserves.
If you’re traveling to a tropical destination soon, Bovaird offers some practical tips based on her experience living in Thailand during the filming of The White Lotus. She recommends wearing bathing suit tops instead of bras for comfort and practicality. She also suggests purchasing classic straw hats from Mon Panama, handmade sandals traced from your feet (these can be found in Thailand), viscose dresses, linen shirts, and vintage aloha shirts. Additionally, she advises embracing Thai fisherman-style pants and elephant pants.

As a devoted admirer of the captivating series “White Lotus,” I’ve curated an exciting collection of outfit inspirations, drawing from official fashion collaborations and on-screen looks. Regrettably, some of the previous season’s designer pieces from “The White Lotus” season three are now out of stock. However, fear not! Pre-loved versions can be discovered at Vestiaire Collective, The RealReal, Rebag, eBay, and various other luxury resale marketplaces.
