This has been a common observation among viewers since Chock Chapple proposed to Joan Vassos on “The Golden Bachelorette.” Although they may not be living together yet, a notable gesture by Vassos suggests that their relationship is still thriving.

For now it doesn’t look like The Golden Bachelor Season 2 will come in time for the 2025 TV schedule, but at least we’ve got Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple staying pretty active on social media. They checked in from Chapple’s home in Wichita, Kansas, last week, where the insurance executive told fans on Instagram that he’d undergone surgery — and his fiancée flew in to take care of him:

A big hello to Joan! She visited Wichita this weekend as I underwent refractive eyelid replacement surgery on my right eye… Joan was there to look after me, and although I’m feeling a bit grumpy, everything is fine. Currently, I can’t see from my right eye.

Joan Vassos expressed empathy towards her partner, acknowledging his resilience in bearing through the pain. Despite not residing in the same state as Chock Chapple, it’s evident of their strong bond that she made an effort to be present during his surgery and care for him throughout his recovery process.

Initially, I was apprehensive when Joan Vassos mentioned leading a “double life” with someone from the reality dating show. However, it appears their arrangement is proving successful. Notably, this setup seemed to be pre-planned from the start.

In the finale of “The Golden Bachelorette,” Chock Chapple and I expressed our intentions to share a New York apartment while still maintaining our individual residences in Maryland and Kansas. Although our New York dreams haven’t materialized yet, our frequent visits to each other’s homes have been vividly captured on film.

Joan Vassos shared several photos from her recent trip to Wichita, featuring a post-surgery Chock enjoying a spa day at the nail salon (as shown below). Additionally, they have discussed their experience celebrating Thanksgiving with both sets of families in Maryland.

Joan Vassos recently spoke with Parade about the negative perceptions regarding her living arrangement last month. She explained that some people believe she isn’t working due to always being together, but she clarified this notion.

In my perspective, our paths may diverge somewhat as we both lead fulfilling lives in our sixties. At this stage of life, it’s common to find individuals who are deeply involved with family, work, social circles, or hobbies. This means that we might not require constant togetherness or even reside in the same city. That’s where I find myself at the moment regarding our situation.

Regarding a possible wedding date, it seems they haven’t discounted the idea of a televised ceremony. Chock Chapple stated that they are moving closer and may tie the knot sometime between 2025 and 2026. For now, they continue to deepen their relationship as they’ve only known each other for less than a year.

I strongly hope that Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple can maintain their relationship and stay together for the long haul, considering the sad aftermath of the divorce from The Golden Bachelor. Actions like Vassos being by Chapple’s side during a medical procedure show just how solid they are as a couple.
