During her most renowned period, Sonali was rumored to be associated with Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi. Recently, during a discussion at Arts Council Karachi, when asked about these old allegations, he diplomatically avoided the topic by saying “Please remove this question.
At the 17th International Urdu Conference and Karachi Festival, Afridi refuted the speculations, emphasizing his significant personal achievements such as becoming a grandparent.
