What the Clash? takes the What the Golf? makers ideas way too far, coming to Apple Arcade soon

  • What the Golf? What the Car? And now, What the Clash?
  • Yes, the mad geniuses at Triband are at it again
  • Take on a pal (for now) in various 1v1 minigames

Speaking of comedy content, Triband has been a studio that consistently delivers, with hits like What the Golf? and What the Car?. This team seems to have an endless well of creativity when it comes to reinventing various genres. So, it’s no wonder they’re now aiming for competitive 1v1 multiplayer games as their next venture.

The essence of What the Clash? is straightforward: it’s a compilation of mini-games, similar to games such as Mario Party. In this game, you compete with another player across various activities, from a unique twist on table tennis to snowboarding. You can strive for top positions on the leaderboards and even participate in tournaments. However, I understand that this description might seem too ordinary for Triband.

This is where the unexpected part kicks in as you’re not just playing a game, but a game featuring a living character. Yes, a being with a body! The physics-driven humor that arises when attempting to manage these entities makes these mini-games all the more difficult, and the outcomes even funnier. Furthermore, the inclusion of various modifiers can transform simple Archery into something like Toasty Archery, ensuring that things will never be ordinary.

Clash the Apple

On May 1st, What the Clash? appears to be an entertaining new installment in the What the…? series. But if you were planning to play it on Android or standard iOS devices, you might find yourself a little let down. Similar to Triband’s past releases, What the Clash? is designed to be exclusive to Apple Arcade.

Without a doubt, I believe this point will convince quite a few of you to try out the full-to-the-brim Apple gaming subscription service!

If you’re dead set on going solo, consider lending a hand to other storefronts as well. After all, our recurring segment “Off the AppStore” highlights intriguing and captivating new releases that can only be found on alternative platforms!
