Captain America: Brave New World’s Secret Release Dates Revealed!

The movie “Captain America: Brave New World” didn’t quite live up to Marvel Studios’ expectations of a blockbuster hit when it was released in cinemas earlier this year. However, it now has the opportunity to make amends with its digital release. This film marked Anthony Mackie’s long-awaited solo outing in the MCU after a decade playing Sam Wilson/The Falcon from behind the scenes. The movie boasted an impressive cast, including Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (replacing the late William Hurt), and Giancarlo Esposito portraying Seth Volkeur, better known as Sidewinder, a notorious mercenary and member of the Serpent Society. Despite this, low attendance in cinemas meant that the film just barely surpassed its reported $180 million budget at the domestic box office, earning $199 million.

The movie “Captain America: Brave New World” has announced its release dates for both digital and physical copies. Starting from April 15, viewers can either purchase or rent the scene featuring Harrison Ford as Red Hulk, which some may call him being foolishly money-driven. This digital version will be available on multiple platforms such as Amazon, Apple TV+, Fandango at Home, among others. Approximately a month later, on May 13, the film will be released in 4K Blu-ray and DVD formats.

Alongside owning the movie, the digital version also offers additional content such as bonus features and cut scenes. To mark the digital release date announcement, USA Today shared one of these deleted scenes from Captain America: Brave New World. The scene takes place in a boxing gym where Sam Wilson (Mackie), working undercover for the CIA through Leila Taylor (Xosha Roquemore), tries to gather information about a mercenary group. Additionally, there are two more deleted scenes, as well as behind-the-scenes content that delves into Sam Wilson’s 10-year journey in the MCU, a detailed exploration of Tim Blake Nelson’s character The Leader and Esposito’s Sidewinder, director’s commentary by Julius Onah, and the ever-popular bloopers.

Why Was ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Divisive?

Following some challenging years, Marvel Studios hoped that “Brave New World” would be successful to propel them towards the unveiling of “Thunderbolts” and “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” slated for this year, as well as “Avengers: Doomsday” in 2026. Regrettably, “Brave New World” fell short in both critical acclaim and box office success. The film has a disappointing Rotten Tomatoes score of 48%. The unfavorable reviews seem to have significantly impacted its poor performance. Numerous critics lambasted the movie’s incomplete script, unimpressive dialogue, and overall lackluster narrative and CGI.

Beyond evaluating the quality of the movie itself, it appears that the film’s reception may have been impacted by certain comments made by its lead actor, Anthony Mackie, which were not fully comprehended. During the promotional tour, Mackie expressed a thoughtful perspective about Captain America being a symbol of courage, truth, and moral integrity rather than just an unwavering supporter of the flag. Predictably, this statement sparked controversy among ardent “patriots,” leading to negative press that spread online.
